  • (69billy @ Nov. 01 2005,01:08) Sunshine Hotel
My avatar is at sunshine room 601 you can take many LBs or GG no problem...Here is some photos from my room..
I have stayed at the Sunshine Hotel.

I can verify that it is very Lady Boy friendly.

I have taken Lady Boys and GG their. No probelm. No one will even bat an eye brow. They mind their own bussines.

    The room is nice.

The only possible problem is that it is a little noisy. This is because it is in the center of the action. You can hear the Bar People yelling when some one buys some drinks. This goes on until the bars close.

This goes on until the bars re-open.

      • Many Hotels in Pattaya are LB/Guest friendly and have their own websites for on line booking.

Some are listed on the Pattaya map:
Dynasty Inn Soi 13 - part of Dynasty BKK - about 1300 Baht per night. They run a free shuttle from BKK to Pattaya, if you prepay for 2 nights in advance, when staying in BKK

        Haven Hotel Soi 13

Areca Lodge Soi Diana - older hotel at about 1300 per night

Pattaya Bay Resort - about 1 year old - about 1500 per night - behind the new Avenue shopping mall which is opposite Soi 13

LK Renaissance Soi Diana (Part of LK Group including LK Mansions)- tey were making some huge discounts back in Feb when it opened - about 2500 per night - nearly opposite Areca Lodge

        These two are much cheaper
Jasmine Hotel Walking St - 600 per night
        Thomson Hse Soi Bukhouw

For the budget conscious there are many guest houses (too many to list).
In Soi 13/1 (Soi Yamoto) you have the Legless Arms (opposite La Bamba), PA Apartments, Petrus restaurant also has rooms.

Guest houses start at about 400 Baht per night - check that they have A/C, Fans, Hot water!
It is sensible to ask to 'see' the room before committing.

Hotels are usually between 1000 to 2500 per night with the Marriott/Hard Rock charging 2500+ per night

For those who want it 'full on' you could consider:
Penthouse Hotel - the Kitten club is downstairs and rooms are "themed"
Pook Bar & Guest House on Soi Bukhouw

In Low Season - Feb/March thru to Aug/Sept you can barter for a good rate and certainly, if staying for 7 nights or more, you should be able to get a discount.

My prices are only a 'rough' guide - either their web site or contacting them will confirm the current room rate.

        • Why so little info about the Pattaya Bay Resort? It's sorta weird... I did the Google search and read through every thread, I see S.B. making references to it and someone else mentioning Stogie's "promoting" it but I just don't find much in terms of a real review of the place. Just how long a walk to Walking Street is it? What's their guest policy? And most importantly - if the place is as good as it sounds - what makes it worth booking over any of the others? Thanks much, I'm trying to make some preliminary decisions for my Feb. 2009 trip.

          • I stayed there last August for a few days. The room was better than the Dynasty on soi 13 were I was used to staying at. The only thing that did turn me off was they tried to have me pay for my entire stay when I checked in. I told them that this was the first hotel that has asked me to do that and then they backed down.

                Have anybody experience with
                THE GREEN HOTEL in Pattaya?

I haven't got the full details, but someone I know stayed there recently and told me it was good value.  Location is good IMO (on a quiet soi  .... near the Police station!! ...  10 baht bus ride from Walking Street if you really want)   Have no idea if it is LB friendly, though.

These are the two hotels I recommend to my friends visiting Pattaya.

PBR is at the top of it's peer group at 1000 baht price point and LK Renaissance at the top at the 1500 price point.

For those on a super low budget willing to stay in a
guesthouse, I recommend 2 Guys at the 500 baht price point.

If you are talking about Police Station in soi9 it is not quiet, lots of buildings going on big mall on one site ,renovation on other site..
It wont be quiet for year or two...

                        • Flipperhouse:

Don't know if it's on their website, they got a promotion running (don't know for how long) 4 nights pay 3, 7 nights pay 5, and 14 pay *don't remember*.

It's ok, but immo you can get better ones for the same price.

                          + Building going on!!!

Naris Art, my favorite choice for 1200 baht. No building going on, damn friendly, breakfast included, only problem, some bathrooms got mildew. Just have a look at the room first and you will have no problem.

Said it in a previous post, I know which room to take. ^^

If I'm going to Patts this weekend, I'll stay there again.

Le Palm is another good choice for 1000 baht per night. Havent been there in low season, might be cheaper now.
