(azza33 @ Jun. 04 2010,21:23) Now i rate www.imdb.com as a great source for movie rating and ranking.

Clint Eastwood as a director in top 250 movie of all time by my count has Gran Torino, Changeling, Letters from Iwo Jima, Million Dollar Baby, Mystic River &  Unforgiven. Not bad -  6 in there from my count.
You WON'T find a legendary actor with that pedegree elsewhere.
It would be interesting to know how many non actor directors have 6 or more in imdb.com's top 250. I agree, it is a great web site. One of my favorites on any subject.
Would Tarantino go close i wonder??

    kill bill 1
    kill bill 2
    pulp fiction
    reservoir dogs
    inglourious basterds
    and....

nope thought Jackie brown would... actually a top flick!!

He'll make it for sure tho...

Anger Management was great. I could list a lot more, but there are many more of his movies that I like than I am so so on. JMO, we all got one. Neither of those two were particular favorites.

Now come here and give me a big hug JD, you lovable ol' lug you.

Gran Torino, one of my favourites of all time. Clint even sings the closing song...
Despite the high cost of living, it continues to be popular.

His name crossed my mind after I posted that. Perhaps I should have said leading actors. QT has only played supporting roles when he has appeared in movies. Those directed by him or by someone else, like his buddy Robert Rodriguez. He isn't a bad actor either when in those minor roles either for that matter.

I wouldn't say that was one of his best but I thoroughly enjoyed it, seen it twice recently; good movie from an aging actor.

My other favorites include Unforgiven, the original Dirty Harry, and Kelly's Heroes.

Your kids must all be past 12 yrs old by now. How can you allow them to watch Sandler movies then?

As for actor/directors... it's quality not quantity too. I think time will tell as to how each movie stacks up in time. Also we have the question of different 'genres'.

I hadn't thought of Woody Allen before, being as we're talking actors...but I was hooked ever since 'Take The Money and Run'. I can still enjoy that immensely even if I know all the punchlines

The thing about Woody Allen, is that he basically created his own genre. Maybe a la Mel Brooks.

                          Both neurotic Jews btw
Did you exchange a walk-on part in the war for a lead role in a cage

I do like Clint Eastwood but my favorite movies are few different ones.

The Good, The Bad & The Ugly.
                            Where Eagles Dare
                            Pale Rider
                            Two Mules for Sister Sara
The Outlaw Josey Wales (this one was mentioned)

Maybe I sound insensitive but its not the case at all. I do care!  But if I had to live my whole life based on how everyone might be sensitive to me.. I would not be living my life as I want it. So you can accept me and my flaws as I am or you can't.

OK, FINALLY  we have a winner!!

The one where he wears a Bruins sweatshirt and plays golf like a hockey player and gets punched out by Bob Barker [the price is WRONG, Bob!] is decent, I may give the kid from Central High School credit for that one; only.  Even the remake of "The Longest Yard'' was horrible; how can someone mess that up?

Just still having a hard time seeing his name up here with Dick Burton and Marlon Brando, Pacino, Eastwood, etc.....any great actor in this thread who is now dead is certainly spinning in their graves right now.
