I remember going to one of those Pink Panther movies with a bunch of friends from college. My date and I were the only two not laughing. We developed a special bond then, that lasted for a while because neither of us found anything remotely humorous from the Pink Panther. It was like what is all the fuss about?

Later on I went to see Neighbors at a different theater (theatre for you Brits ) and I was in hysterics the entire time and no one else in the place laughed at all. Some even turned around and looked at me because I laughed so much.

One of my former co-workers is also a huge Aykroyd and Belushi fan and I was telling him about it. He said when he and his wife went to see it, him and her were the only two laughing in that theater when watching Neighbors. We agreed, how could anyone not find that movie to be funny? Just shook our heads in utter amazement and I said: "some people these days..."

We all find different things to be funny I guess.

They'll tell you it's Warren Oates!"

Just watch him in movies like Two Lane Blacktop, In The Heat of The Night, The Wild Bunch, and Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia and tell me I'm wrong.

Warren in a clip from the cult classic Two-Lane Blacktop. It was released by Universal as a response to Columbia's Easy Rider. It was a box office failure back then. It's cult status has well been established since then. Film critic Leonard Maltin remarked that Oates' performance in this film was as good as any he'd seen and should have won the Oscar.
