Nice new rooms, swimming pool on roof.

now VERY easy walk to 2nd road and Soi 13/1.  Not far but more importantly walk is on driveway and the mall, you don't have to watch out for traffic.


Since many of us start out our night at 131 the PBR is really a great location.

Restaurant a bit overpriced at hotel but cheap enough if you want room service or snack by pool.

Good cheap food if you want to pig out is 110 baht breakfast buffet at Lek hotel. an easy walk thru the mall.

Or 24 hour cheap food at Kiss, go through the mall, make a right and walk a couple of minutes.

High season price of 1300 no longeer the great bargain, but fair enough.

Some good intangibles are the friendly staff and lots of ladyboy-lovers at hotel.  Last night in lobby were 3 guys from forum plus two other ladyboy-lovers who don't post here much.

That's makes 5 lb lovers and 0 gg lovers.  Where else do you see that?

In my wanderings found a great new hotel across from Areca, forget the name that has an introductory special of 1250 baht.   Not really more comfortable than Pattaya Bay Resort but more of a wow factor.  If it's still 1250 when the PBR goes up to 1300 maybe the place to stay at that price point.  But think it's a bit overpriced at regular rate of 2500.

Just booked 2 rooms for Oct 12-14, bringing some lb friends from Bkk to check out Pattaya cabaret shows (I know that sounds crazy , but these are really nice girls !).

PBR told me they are almost fully booked for October!

Am I right in saying that the only real difference between the standard and deluxe rooms is the size of the room ie the deluxe has that big space between bed and tv?

So, unless I want a game of twister with my girl, any other big benefits of the deluxe room?

The deluxe rooms are more like studio apartments at 42sq mtrs V 28sq mtrs & much larger. In addition I found that small kitchen area with microwave/ coffee machine quite useful.
Also, the deluxe rooms have king size beds compared to queen size in standard and dvd players along with furniture on the balcony.
I think that is about it

Only problem with the extra space is being pissed and getting lost coming back from the bathroom after a pee in the middle of the night!!

I find smaller rooms quite well designed in that respect because you can quite efficiently bounce off wall, TV, and chair (sometimes in a different order) before slumping back onto the bed......I could be wandering round for hours in the deluxe room!

well booked my room from the 10th sept to the 17th

I stayed one night in the standard room.
My impressions are, its a nice place, but bad location (which is an improvement from horrible location before the new mall opened).
Having computers you can use in the lobby is a very nice touch.
The pool is very nice, and sunny...many rooftop pools are often in shadow.
But For 100 Baht more I can stay on Soi 13, which is much more convenient (and gives me the ability to take a quick shower between bar hopping)

ps. The standard rooms do not have a DVD player.

pps. Triple-X Bar also offers free internet access, for computers they are using some ancient laptops with broken displays hooked up to an external monitor...I should have gotten some pics for Bam

Yep... XXX bar is turning into one of Pattaya's hottest LB spots to be at... the 'slut factor' is a massive 10!

The free internet access is a bit sluggish though, but why the fuck are you checking your email at the XXX bar with all the hotties on the street itching to scratch your sensitive areas?

Said goodbye to the adorable Nicky this afternoon... I'll post some noce pics of this Goddess when I get back to Bangkok later this week...

Staying at the PBR right now and I'm very satisfied. Location is spot on (Stringfellows and Club 131 less than a 10 minute walk through the mall to Soi Yamato). The baht bus system makes Pattaya very accessible as well.

Had a chance to meet SB and TTChang for some . Great guys.

My list so far:
Stunner (Chin from Club 131) -check
Femboy (Kob from Stringfellows) -check
Non-working LB (Bam from Mike's department store) -check
GG (The only GG working at Lita's, which got all the LBs pissed) -check

Where are you talking about... The Pattaya Bay resort? They are very strict about their ID policy and its' enforcement. Dunno about picture taking.

As for Kaos and XXX... I've never seen anyone in KAOS with a camera. I know the chappy who owns that bar and he'd be the first person to cause a lot of grief to anyone trying to take photos there. If you can find just ONE (fairly recent) photo of the inside of the Kaos bar let me know!

Same with XXX although it's probably easier to get pics from here as it's an open bar on a public road! But I've still not seen any pics of farangs with lbs at the XXX bar...

I am referring to Triple X. Just go to their yahoo site and you will see quite a few pictures of farang with ladyboys. The pictures taken are from inside the bar not outside on the open road as you put it.
