Considering the Hard Rock, is that a good choice?

Tryed making a reservation at Areca Lodge in a Executive room..they sent back a email....ALL FULL.

Then I scrooled down one email in my box and the  Sunshine now has a Seaview Room, sent my deposit and now I'm in. This it what the email  said:

"We are delighted to offer 1 Deluxe Seaview, Sunshine Residence  for
this period required,which will cost 2,250  baht/room/night include
breakfast & tax. & service charge.(non smoking room on request) please sign a weaver that you do not know this 69Billy person. He make mess out of room. Cum all over, Ladyboy yelling late at night, sound same same as cat. Licking sounds, kissing sounds, no one sleep in rooms. He wake people up with such noise. Everyone knows what is going on and then they start fucking in their room. The whole hotel start shaking. We now have ban on this man.

I signed weaver and sent my deposit.

All joking aside I was suprized and happy to see they do now have a seaview room open. So, a fun 8 days in march coming up.

stayed at the penthouse some years ago
no joiner charge, i normally take two
and i was glad they took their IDs
safe boxes at reception which gave me more peace of mind than having valuables in my room
indoor pool 24 room service
never seen anything like it before or since
will go again

Looking at the internet, I see there is a Pattaya Hotel - named "Discovery Beach" - Soi 6 I think.

It says it was opened in December 2007 - anyone been there - am thinking to book for the next trip!??!??!?

Before I forget - the Lek Villa Hotel is pretty cheap and good value. Stayed there a couple of times, and you can get a nice two-roomed suite pretty cheap and they have a huge swimming pool too. If you have a rented car or bike - it has loads of parking space out the front .... also great for taking back the "new friend". Lb friendly and I was never asked any questions about visitors

Thats on Nuklua where I picked a few lbs previously in the bars on that road, if you can get past the Germans (close to the dolphin roundabout and almost opposite the Premier League bar/snack place)! Quite a good location for a change, and about 5-10 mins walk from Big C and the lb bars on second road.


Regarding Discovery - just fancied a change this time !!!

Saw one lb with a film crew in Lek Villa once - all piling into a bedroom just along from mine ............ forget her name - pretty well known - quite a few fotos on this site - with the blonde hair and hangs out at that bar opposite the Linda Bar. No chance for me that night

Anyone else Booked at the Sunshine Hotel & Residences first two weeks of March? Anyone in this group I mean.

For a convienent hotel right off walking street, try Secrets.....Since it opened, I have normally stayed there as the rooms were clean (if a bit spartan with furnishings....)....has a frig, TV, safe in room, beds are comfy....rooms are clean...never had a problem bring guests into rooms but have left tips when requesting more towels or additional room cleanings. Hotel also has great wi-fi free in the room....rooms are 800 - 900 baht or so. Would recommend room on top floor facing away from the street hotel is on as sometimes the morning noise can be annoying when hung over and staying on first floor. Hotel is so near walking street that my last 2 trips it has been an effort for me just to get away from all of the potential places of interest there.
Additionally.....if you are so inclined (at 5000 baht a night) they have a house that you can rent....about 10 minutes drive from the hotel.....but it is plush with flat screen TV's, pool, pool table, ping pong table....breakfast to order next morning.....again, it is pricey, but hell of a place for a party.

And no, I do not own stock in this hotel!!!
