Hey, that really pretty gg we met on Soi 2 is also sometimes on the box at Ocean's 10 and she seemed sweet enough.

But you're right, a first timer should certainly check out as many ladyboy bars as possible especially an institution such as Jenny Star Bar.

As for a first timers choice of hotels, I would suggest within the main baht bus route would be best.

Hey is there a Pattaya version of Monopoly? Take a ride on the baht bus, you may pass Go and collect 2000 baht.

I've looked at PBR but they ask for 1400B/night which is a bit high for me as well as they only have "smoking" rooms for the dates I need (non-smoker here).

any suggestions for a safe, clean and ladyboy friendly hotel at the 1000B/night or below range? in walking distance to "walking street" (5-10 mins walk is fine too, not have to be at the exact spot)

First off, the action is everywhere!

Secrets, like just about every Pattaya hotel in the 1000 baht range is ladyboy friendly in that you can most certainly bring ladyboys back to your room.

But the true value added to Secrets is if you want to meet guys from their Forum and chase girls together. So this might inhibit you from chasing ladyboys.

And Nice Bar 2 is on Soi 7 and Family Bar on Soi 8.  Both have lots of hot ladyboys.  This area (which also includes Didi Bar) probably has about 50 ladyboys working till the wee hours of the morning.

One last thing I forgot to add.

Assuming your trip is not this week or in January there shouldn't be much trouble finding a room.

I'd suggest you book for no more than 3-4 nights unless there happens to be a special weekly rate. Then you can walk around and checkout different hotels in different areas.

You certainly don't want to prepay for an extended period. There's lots of reasons that you might want to change hotels.

PD... isn't that a Bar-Hotel run buy the x-boss of FLBar..!? I wouldn't say LB friendly more like LBs are tolerated...

You're missing the plot...and you're not listening to the guys who live here or stay here for extended periods...

Pattaya is NOT Bkk...it doesn't matter much where you stay in Pattaya THE ACTION IS EVERYWHERE...
And it is very easy to get from where ever you are to everywhere you want to be...

Stop tyring to reinvent the wheel...Just stay in one of the hotels recommended by the other BMs and you will have a very happy holiday...

Right Billy, Secrets is run by Ben who used to manage the FLB Bar.

ladyboy tolerated is probably a better way to put it.

It's a good place to stay for a first timer that wants to stay in the same hotel as other guys from the Secrets Forum (a straight forum with good Pattaya info) to have mates to show them the ropes so to speak.

But once a newb makes his new friends, he might be reluctant to then bring back ladyboys.

This what really surprised my buddy that you met who came to Pattaya for the first time.

He knew he would have no problem getting laid.

He expected there would be a bar area, maybe the size of Soi Diana, maybe Soi 7, maybe Walking Street, whatever.

He didn't expect that there be 10,000 bars (this is a conservative estimate) in the Pattaya area. That you can get laid anytime of the day or night.

His other surprise was just how friendly the girls were and how he could bring them to the zoo and other daytime activities.

the hotels in my budget that were suggested are all full for the dates I'm coming, the other hotels that were suggested are over my budget, thats why I've asked about the secrets hotel.

I highly recommend SECRETS to you...I have stayed there many times and the last time they even had upgraded their in-room wifi so it was very reliable and fast...it is in your budget and at the center of the action (which i find to be a huge plus for ST)...I have even just kept a room there for ST and also had a room at the PBR for getting away from it all...I know thats a bit extravigant to some, but it suits my purposes.

And yes, Secrets is definitely LB friendly...took many a ST off WS to Secrets without charge or comment from the front desk! Even took 2 up at once without comment...most nights a LB is the front desk attendent.
