Sounds like the Dynasty Grande is the place to stay. Anyone know if the 1800 rate will kick in and when? Website shows 2280, I thought April was the beginning of low season.

Hotels in BKK rarely have a high / low season price.(rafepix @ Apr. 02 2007,20:41) Sounds like the Dynasty Grande is the place to stay. Â Anyone know if the 1800 rate will kick in and when? Website shows 2280, I thought April was the beginning of low season.Robin

besides Omni Tower anyone know any hotels down Sukhumvit ( preferably close to Nana) that have a gym?
the only other one I can find is the Narai Hotel down SilomIt's never okay for men to cry! You know who cries? Girls. And little babies. And little baby girls.Comment

Rembrandt Hotel on soi 18 has a nice gym, air conditioned also, unlike  The Omni Towers Â

Both have nice swimming pools just a few feet from their gyms also........ Omni is much closer to Nana but since you like exercise anyway you can walk to Nana from soi 18 in about 10-15 minutes, I do it quite oftenGuilt is Gods way of telling you you're having too much fun.

Quick review of the Plaza Athenee in Bangkok. Stayed there for 8 nights, it's on Wireless Rd. about a 5 minutre walk to the Phoen Chit BTS station. Picked the Athenee because I have a lot of Strapoints to burn and got a very good deal because I made the reservation just before they jumped up in category. It is a GF hotel, no problems bringing guest back. The elevators do require a room key to operate so if you call a friend over you will have to meet them in the lobby. The rooms are a little old and worn, definitely in need of a renovation, the beds are hard as rock. I've stayed at the Westin Grande a few times and it is a much nicer hotel. The gym at the Westin is much nicer but I would say pool at the Athenee is better. If the Athenee updates their rooms (I heard they are in the process of doing this) it would be a decent value based on Starpoints. The Internet service at Athenee is a rip off, wired in the room for 650B/night, or wireless in the lobby and pool areas for 425B/hour. I uesd the wireless at Starbucks that's about 5 minutes walk from the hotel.Comment
