i have stayed at the marriort twice great but on the high end.i was in town jan 21-29 and stayed at the grand president on soi 11. great location not too far walking from nana,maybe not in the heat of the summer mind you. i was not charged a guest fee during my stay.i have stayed here evey year since 2003 with no problems.once the staff knows you sometimes they won't even ask for I.D.. i stayed once at the novetel lotus in 2004,but have heard that they are not guest friendly anymore.

best bet majestic grande in middle bewteen guess and nana are ladyboy friendly i walked in with two in tow and later beer as well just asked card beer was annoying had to vouch for her no id card.

No sniggers from girl in staff doorman never batted eye lid.

GROTTINO INN

Off Soi 19, take first left on side street and you can't miss the sign. Daniel owns and runs with one other and is very polite about rescheduling you if you ever run into problems. Google the site and you will find the URL-lists rates (very reasonable and not high dollar), room pics and serves good food. Rooms are very clean, not too small, in room safe, tv & dvd, fridge and decent sized shower that two people can fit. Two entrances, one through the restaurant and another side entrance if you hate doing the "walk of shame."

Remodel has been complete for some time now...Although to me as I pass by, it looks the same as it was before the remodel...

i have recently used the Town Lodge at the end of Soi 18, bit far from Nana but i dont really frequent Nana anyway so suits me, clean tidy no problems with guests. 1400 B per night. Also has Toxic nightclub on the ground floor. Big construction site next door so can be a bit noisy in the daytime.

Just returned from bkk and i stayed at Majestic Grande on soi 2 and will definately return there on my next trip.
Ok so you pay a little more for this hotel compared to others round Nana area but the hotel is first class and i had absolutley no problems taking any guests back to my room or having any number of friends in your room at 1 time.

All in this hotel is a great place 2 stay if you wanna pay that little bit more.

President Solitaire...Soi 11 was a great choise...
No lbfee....close to Q Bar, Bed Supper Club...and Nana 5 mininutes by walk....and don't forget the Pomodoro restaurant Soi 5 and also Gullivers....
On the pool you meet some nice guys in the daytime...of course lb's too....
and the best ....No sex tourists from Cxxxxxx(moderated by myself)

You must have jet engines on your shoes. As I recall it was a good 10 minute walk just to get to Sukhumvit form the President Solitaire.

It's about 3km to Nana  -  I walk very fast that's why I'm called Road Runner and it would take me about 17-20 minutes walk to Nana from the President Solitaire  -  assuming it's the only one I know of some way up Soi 11.

Even by taxi it will be a good 5 minutes (call that near 10) and that is when you can find an empty one as most going past are taking the short way with a passenger already!
