Blimey talk about chinese whispers - the 'walk of shame' refers to taking a hooker back through your hotel lobby - not walking out of Nana Plaza - dont forget everybody is there for the same thing in Nana, wheras in the hotel lobby you have no idea who is going to be there as you walk back, hence the term the 'walk of shame'. Dont forget there are many many places to pick up a hooker in Bangkok or anywhere in Thailand.

I never noticed your response to the walk of shame comments til now. Anyway, you could be correct in that it also refers to entering the hotel lobby where one is staying, with ladyboy on your arm.
I do know of "some" guys in previous threads and posts here over the years who have specifically described exiting Nana as the walk of shame and even make arrangements to walk a distance ahead or behind the ladyboy they were leaving with.

I must admit that I assumed it meant the walking out of Nana bit because of the people looking at you from Lucky Lukes, Big Dogs, and the bar of the Nana Hotel

Anyone have any idea what the Dynasty Grande is like if your landing at 6-00am in the morning and getting there about 7-30am

I had booked a room at the Majestic suites last time and fortunately I did not have to wait too long for it, but the thought of maybe hanging around for over 4 hours for the room or a 2 hour drive to Pattaya on top of a journey from the UK does not appeal to me.

Maybe it would be better to book the room for the night before as well.
Anyone had this experience themselves, help would be appreciated

For what it's worth, I arrived in May in the middle of the night  because EVA changed my Flight from Taipei to BKK...I wasn't scheduled to arrive until the following morning...and taxied into the DIG and was booked in about 1:30 am with no problem...For my January trip I booked the same flight so I warned them that I might arrive much earlier and they replied..."No problem"...I've since changed my flight for the January trip and  will arrive mid-day..and again their reply "No problem"...I have never had anything but excellent service there and I've stayed there off and on many times since May 06...And again, they have never asked for any money upfront...Although they do require that you settle your bill every 5 days of your stay...Hope this helps...

E-mail them and ask them. They are very responsive on e-mail. Always next day response, often same day response.

They DO charge an extra 200 Baht per hour for late check out

Yes but they were always happy for me to check out at 1:00pm without extra charge and quite often that would turn into 1:15-1:30 and they did not ask for more payment.

Im gonna arrive most likely on the 1st May which is the so-called low season but Im not sure if that applies to BKK or not but last year it did seem a lot quieter from April

Guest friendly, no joiner fee. I have never had a problem with bringing an lb either for short time or long time (although I prefer postops!). Visitor must leave ID card at front desk.

Update for the Grand Business Inn - they now have changed to high speed in room internet access (by network port), wifi is available in the lobby and restaurant. Room rate has changed now the "soft opening" is over and as they have expanded now a greater range of room types.

Single Superior room 1600 Baht/night
Double Premier Room 1600 Baht/night
Premier Suite 2000 Baht/night
Executive Double Rooom 2000 Baht/night
Grand Suite Room 2500 Baht/night

The higher level rooms include DVD player with Sony television, you can borrow DVDs from in house library. If you do not have a network cable you can borrow a network cable with a refundable 100 Baht deposit.

Check the website for room photos. No pool yet, but they are planning for a pool by end of 2007, beginning of 2008.

There is some construction noise going on as they are proceeding with their expansion - you can ask for a quieter room on booking.

Very guest friendly (have to leave ID card at front desk), no extra joiner fees, no need to book double room and can have more than 1 guest at a time.

Yes, they are not anal about it, especially if they see you have stayed several times. But a couple of times I have gone for the 7h30pm flight, so it has been 4h30/5pm check out and paying extra is fair enough

I think maybe the DynastyGrande is turning into the AsianTS forum top choice?  So you can bump into your date from the previous night ......on their way back to DG with a fellow ATS perv   (or worse still, hear them in the next room!!)
The reception girls are great.  Last visit I checked in at 1.30am, and Nat greeted me with the knowing smile - and comment "Goodnight?.... or you go out now?!"  Called 'know your customer' I think
And the system for checking LBs ID is very straightforward and relaxed.   They must realise they have cornered the market for LB lovers.
