American Graffiti was good. It was the first film of its type with its Rock n Roll soundtrack. Whore wasn't alive when any of the songs were released, hell, I wasn't alive when some of 'em were hits.
Look for a young Harrison Ford as the bad guy in the drag race. It was his first important role in anything. I would have written his career off there & then.Despite the high cost of living, it continues to be popular.

A great coming of age movie...Filmed in several small towns in NorCal withon a few miles of where I lived and grew up (albeit I'm still growing)...
The TV show Happy Days and characters like Fonzie all grew out of it...
Go watch it Whore..."It's not Gay if you beat them up afterwards." --- Anon

i've avoided this thread because i love movies second only to ladyboys. (how about a thread 'famous ladyboys i've never fucked'? at least i could make up a list.) but now that i've read it through with repeated spit-takes at the off-hand nature with which some of the greatest art in the history of the world has been sloughed off (imagine someone saying they didn't want to fuck Mint -- for free -- because they had a buddy who said she was 'too thin') -- i have but one question:
"sex in the city 2" is a "Famous" movie?
i guess i have a "list" after all.

(Bumpa STIKKA @ Jun. 05 2010,09:58) 2 - Forrest Gump - Laaaaaf is laaaak a bax o chacalats... Fuck off you spastic CUNT!
He never falters once & takes the audience from reviling his simple-ness to a state of adoration for his personal transformation. I don't know if others will agree about the use of the word "adoration" but I can't think of any other word that fits.
I don't mind admitting I cried watching this but it was a good cry, the one you reserve for the underdog who makes good. And my god, does Forrest ever make good. And not once do you see a flicker of smirk on Hank's face.
I understand perfectly the danger of hyping a movie & trying to force your opinion on someone saying they will like something, it triggers a disposition in many of those whom you wish to convert to automatically reject whatever you are selling.
However, I will risk rejection & urge anyone who has never seen Forrest Gump to lay aside their prejudice & watch it. And a warning, the "running" scenes are a trial, they went too long for me but it quickly gets back on track. Possibly my all-time favourite movie. YMMV.Despite the high cost of living, it continues to be popular.

I 100% agree with both of you. Forrest Gump is a superb movie. Tom Hanks' best and he's had a lot of good ones. I could watch it any time.“When a nation's young men are conservative, its funeral bell is already rung.”

Those are rare.......
And if you guys liked Forrest what did you think about The World According to Garp?
ROBERTA: I mean, I had mine removed surgically under general anesthesia. But to have it bitten off in a Buick... Could almost be a NF line..."It's not Gay if you beat them up afterwards." --- Anon

Rebel Without a Cause: if you were enjoying ovulation in the 50's you will enjoy it. Now it seems dated and prissy. Sorry.f0xxee

I just seen a couple of years ago for the first time. It's not a bad movie, worth seeing, but didn't live up to it's reputation IMO.Rebel Without a Cause: if you were enjoying ovulation in the 50's you will enjoy it. Now it seems dated and prissy. Sorry.Did you exchange a walk-on part in the war for a lead role in a cage

Soon after I first met Kahuna in Bangkok, he gave up on any conversations with me about movies. 'Haven't you seen ANY fucking movies at all?' Fair comment!!!
So I won't bore you by listing the many I've not seen. Just to say ..... I saw 'Sound of Music' when I was young, and am still suffering the trauma Does that explain something?
Better go find Forrest Gump now!TT

(guydesavoy @ Jun. 06 2010,13:25) That's my impression from the little I've seen. Would still be interesting to see Jimmy Dean. Speaking of prissy, I heard he was in the closet
As rumour has it Natalie Wood was a stump-rubber it's small wonder the movie seems so camp.f0xxee
