can I ask some personal questions, like how is Kai's English?
What use is English?....she is moving to Scotland for chrissake!

Many a true word is said in jest .....but it does concern me how she will cope with the accent.
    Too old to die young!

Would Kai be one of those "wee timorous beasties"?

Point of order fellas... We always refer to the third sex using the feminine personal pronoun...

They are she, her and erm... bitch!

It's one thing to have an ongoing argument with a ladyboy who takes the trouble to post here, but we ALL agree that they are of female persuasion.

Please at least adhere to this simple protocol!

(trebor2809 @ Jul. 05 2006,02:26) Would Kai be one of those "wee timorous beasties"?
I suspect that Kai is a lady who is used to getting her own way. Whilst her pearly whites are a gift from mother nature I don't think I'd like to wait arount if I had pissed her off too much!

If she's serious about going to the UK then she'll be in for the long haul. She's certainly NOT the kind of girl who (unlike many Thai girls) doesn't think things through!

That said - she IS a Thai and it's unlikely that the migration will be successful if this is some kind of test for her to pass or fail.

She ceratinly could NOT be characterised as a "wee timorous beasty!"

OK guys you have all had your fun. I sincerely salute and thank my supporters and pitty my critics because you have a mental block and just want to pull us down.

"He who laughs longest... laughs lloudest... and I plan to be laughing for a very long time...

We would both appreciat a bit of respect for our situation now but if some of you are incapable of that - I sincerely pitty you in your lives.

I agree... I do wish you the best of luck really. But please be patient with those of us who have the benefit of many years of experience of the Thai way of doing things!

Thanks for being a good sport also!

                      (katoeylover @ Jul. 03 2006,22:38) .... like how is Kai's English?
Kai can speak english well but sometimes has difficulty in understanding what others are saying to her.

(katoeylover @ Jul. 03 2006,22:38) .... What will she do all day while you are at work?
We hope that Kai will be over here in time to attend an ESL (English as a Second Language) course at one of the local colleges whilst I'm at work.
(katoeylover @ Jul. 03 2006,22:38) ....how will she cope with the weather?
we'll just have to wait and see about the weather

(katoeylover @ Jul. 03 2006,22:38) ....what will she eat?
Oi pal my Beans On Toast is Legendary! Seriously though there is a website http://www.thai4uk.com/acatalog/shop.html that I use to order Thai produce for cooking and it is pretty good plus local suppermarkets are carrying more thai spices and vegetables/fruits.

(katoeylover @ Jul. 03 2006,22:38) ....I just believe it would make it a whole lot easier for you to move there, than the other way round. Obviously, i guess, financial commitments will stand in the way of this. I just think that it makes a difficult job a lot harder.
I agree with you it would probably easier for me to live out there and that is probably what we will do long term but I'm not prepared to move out there "at any cost" it will be once we have all the arrangements (work etc) such that we can have a similar standard of living as we will have here.

Knowing what it takes for LB's and their men to get along (Baht) and (lots more Baht)!
Then a new younger man (so-so Baht) It comes to mind the expression:

"A snowballs chance in hell!" Her very name would bring my common sense into play "Ex"
But I do wish you luck! At the same time I will keep my eye open for her.
