It's worth re-printing their map and directions...

We are located on Soi 15 at Second Road. We are directly behind "The Avenue", Pattaya's newest five star shopping complex (scheduled to open in late August).
 
Our entrance is just off of Second Road at Soi 15, across the street from Soi Pattayaland II.  As soon as you see the Thai Military Bank on Second Road, turn right onto Soi 15.  Look for our big red & white "Pattaya Bay Resort" sign.  Follow Soi 15 around for about 200 meters.  We are just past the Mercure Hotel.

 To be honest, I think 200 meters is a bit conservative... it certainly FELT longer!  But when the mall opens later this year it'll be a short walk.

(Tomcat - I'm a heavy sleeper so I wouldn't notice an aircraft landing!)

PS - Pentire, contruction stopped? There were big crane thingies whirling round above that new shopping centre yesterday...

That was heavy lifting equipment for removing the corruption out of Pattaya. They're gonna be there till the end of time!

Presumably installing heavy eqipment for the multplex cinema, bowling alley or whatever other entertainment facilities are being provided.
Maybe escalators and other interior fittings!
As far as I could see the actual building construction has finished apart from a few large holes in the walls where the cranes are lifting stuff into.

But crucially, I heard no noise in two weeks up to July 10th and my room was facing the site.

That means you will have to walk your girl through a new shopping mall to get to your hotel...

After reading Pentires reports here and on other chat sites about this great looking hotel and Stogie re-confirming it, I have booked myself in for a week when I arrive in Patts next week.

Always like to try new places be it hotels/bars/restaurants in Sin city

Seems to tick all the boxes for me and will see if can stand some construction noise as there will be some interior erections going up inside a certain room there too

Congrats on even getting a room! I just got the last deluxe room for the first three days of October! It's the first time I've been able to even book one.

Another nice little 'extra' about the PBR (Yeah - us regulars call it 'The PBR' - cool, eh?    ) is that if you don't like unpacking and wearing rumpled clothes you can borrow one of their two sets of customer irons and ironing boards!

I mean; even a bar girl likes to be wooed, right?

The hotel looks great,  I think I will book in Novenber.

Question:  There web site says 500 baht extra person.  Stogie says no joiner fee for one extra person.  Any clarification.

How many lb bars are walking distance? Really tempted to stay here, but I'm a Pattaya newbie so I'm thinking somewhere closer might be better.
