Stogie, could you check into this with Yuphin and see if this can be corrected? Utmost discretion is important in a hobby like ours and I'd hate to take a GG and have the desk goddess inform her that I had a LB in the room the night before. Might not bode well for me.  

That will happen ANYWHERE in Thailand no matter where you stay. Just thinking about this story reminds of article in BKK post a few years ago where a Thai Senator used to have weekly room in the Dusit Thani - par for the course he had a regualr ho who came and visited him - guess who shared this with the press? Yup the reception staff of said 5* hotel. No thought for discretion - its just Thai nature to gossip.

Well I wish they would reply to the e-mail I sent them 2 days ago regarding the availability of rooms from the 31st Oct

Apparently they did lose their connection for a short time...An excerpt from a mail I recently received from them,,,

"Sorry about the delayed email reply today. There was a bad storm in Pattaya last night and it knocked out some of our internet providers equipment."

Today I made a reservation after booking a good flight with Thai Airways for September and got an positive answer within 20 minutes (!).

They even realized I've already booked for December a few weeks earlier and did not ask for credit card number again.

I am really looking forward staying in the place, If everything is as smooth as reservation via e-mail I am going to stay in heaven (with my favourite LB).

True - I was staying there.  Internet connection very flaky for 2 days.   But now back OK I think.

As stogie has been preaching this is a good place to stay.

Location

SOI 15 AND 2ND ROAD
Mall is opposite 24 hour everything supermarket with great selection. Pharmacy two money exchangers choose the yellow seems to have the better rates.
MacDonald's is 24 hours then you're on second road two minute walk.

If you look from facing 2nd road to there is a bar across and to the left this is where stringfellows and labamba is missed it first night.
The theme for stringfellows has been blue dress.

Keep heading down the street and turn left that's beach road then you will walk into walking street.
Down to the blue ice bar and directly opposite is soi bj and ezy bar.

Check in is slow but pleasant

Lift is slow but hey who cares

Cherry on top restaurant is ok do not try scramble eggs at breakfast.

Room
I got standard is roomie nice bed and bath room is also very good.

Sounds
Yes is construction but is not as bad as you would think gets quite around 6 pm.
Rooms in the dead of the night sounds can be heard so not billy friendly.

Pool is clean and nice.

Overall rating 4 stars

I've spent time there now in three different room types...standard, deluxe and mini-suite...for my money the deluxe is well worth the extra baht...

The breakfast is mediocre at best.

The scrambled eggs are watery and barely cooked and have tomato pieces in them! The bacon is precooked the day before and you get a slice of tasteless ham and a cheap hot dog also. The toast is OK but they give you a 'curl' of cake mix instead of butter to spread on it. The potatoes are the best bit but they are VERY greasy.

The coffee is disgusting. I defy anyone to drink a cup.

Westerners are going to struggle to enjoy the restaurant. Pop down the road to Villa for all your food requirements.
