Cost of Trip to Bangkok

I stay at the majestic suites rooms are small but have all you need 1320/ night including a full breakfast$40 aus dollars. and it would have to be 3 star at least. I cant stand staying in nana or dynasty. sorry folks they are run down dumps.
my biggest costs are for girls as i have an incredible appetite for the hot lbs of bangkok anything from 1000 a short time to the ocasional girl all night(mint3000).
drinks cost are off the planet in bangkok. same as you pay anywhere.
food in the street is fantastic. i personally love thai food . noodle soup right at nana is 30 baht $1 dollar.MBK food court average for 2 dishes pork nuckle and rice and a hoi taud fried mussels in egg batter plus a drink !100 baht $3 aus. and the food is fantastic. If you hang at all those horrid chain store places . starbucks kfc mac donald(that stuff would kill a fucking dingo) you will pay big prices and eat shit.

my launary bills are low as i dont use hotel laundarys ( you could buy a shirt for less than they want to clean and iron one). Theres a little laundary in the tunnel between soi5- and 7 its above a intenet cafe and has a kangaroo sign. average cost for a big bag washed and ironed 300 baht$10 aus.
keep away from hotel launarys they are a fucking scandel.
my total cost for 14 days including hotel majestic girls food and alot of cloths and gift shopping. around$5000 aus 2000 uk and $4000

ps i do like my jack cokes75-120 baht a throw. i also like my john smiths yorkshire bitter(winking frog soi 7 happy hour 2-6pm 140 baht).
if you shop around the costs of everything can be very cheap by western standards

Is it worth giving this place a go then? I always stay at Nana, your rite it is a dump but i jus cant beat the place for location

I budget UK£1000 / week for the LOS, thats food, drink, bar fines, GG's, LB's, hotel, taxis, I rarely manage to spend the full amount, but thats what i budget, not counting the flights.

Majestic Suites is an excellent place & its only draw back is the size of the rooms, but it doesn't bother me. I checked out the Dynasty Grande, looked at 2 rooms & thought they were excellent for the money 90% as good as the lower end Majestic Grande rooms. If i cannot get in the Majestic the Dynasty Grande would be my first alternative.

   do yourself a favour, get out of the NaNa Hotel habit, the place is owned by the police & its a dump, old tired rooms, indifferent staff, & there are far, far better places very close by. I fell out with the place about 8 years ago. never really liked it from day one! Majestic Suites is far superior, but also very popular, getting harder & harder to book.

Stayed there loads of times, never been in a room with anything less than a double bed. I think single & double occupancy merely means you get 2 lots of breakfast coupons booking on a double basis.

- Airfare from SFO to BKK = $1,100
- Hotel stay at Dynasty Inn including tips @ 1,300 baht is $32.50/day = $650
- Laundry costs over the entire trip = $60
- Food, entertainment, and transportation cost @ $50/day = $1,000
- Barfines for 10 days (see trip report) @ $15/time = $150
- LT costs for Jane @ 13,000 baht (12 days) = $325
- LTs with Helen, Ra, Pattaya freelancers = $250
- Other costs = $200

Total cost for 20 days of debauchery is roughly $3,800 USD. Seems in line with what KL and Ozzie seem to spend. But man...3 trips a year is really killing my pocketbook hehe...

Damn,dummy!I get rt from sfo on EVA(best airline ever)for $650-$720&had8days@Classic Place for$17&8days@DMA for $21 per!4 star quiet,no problem w/guests either place,great breakfasts,Blew various amounts on both LB&GG.My budget was $5,00&spent under $3,000!Course i always go low season!Dont drink alcohol,dont like crowds or noise so works out good&as everyone does have the time of my life!!!Generous tipping helps&expect to spend every nickle i budget next time!!!
