This thread has pissed me off quite a bit actually!!
This person in question acted as a member of the public to intervene in a domestic dispute.
His actions have nothing to do with the volunteer police force other than his stupidity of wearing a uniform in an attempt to justify his actions down at the police station.
I don't see why this incident has been hijacked and used agenda for bashing these volunteers.
This has nothing to do with them - period.
I will say it again, foreign volunteers should be well dressed, and their to give out advice and act as mediators between Thai police and tourists.
They should not be dressed as paramilitaries, blocking the entrance to walking street with a police van, and strutting around town with pepper spray.

Using an open forum to slag off these guys is not a bright idea at all - I'm really surprised that so many members haven't thought this through a little more and continue adding fuel to the fire.
