      Her ya go Mo,

      TF

      TTF

Maybe they'll be selling at a discount soon, and if so I might buy.  I like TTF better cause of the lower expense ratio.

TF and TTF are both USA issues, probably Naqdaq.
Just type them into Yahoo Finance or any other site and you will see who manages them.

Chaos like this is an opportunity, IF you think it will solve itself...if you think its the end of the world, then sell sell sell. I have my eye on a few stocks, including TF/TTF and if I see a real breakdown I will buy. I almost bought TF at 12.50 a few days ago, but it recovered (to over 13, and then went back down).

One other thing re TTF vs TF.

On a typical day TTF has 3 times the volume of TF. My guess is that means the bid-ask spread is narrower for TTF. Gotta check next week during trading hours.

              ADRs of Thai Companies

The link lists Thai ADRs.  Of these the following can be bought thru Fidelity Brokerage at the same commision as an American stock.

              AVIFY
              ASFBY
              CPOKY
              DLETY
              HNMEY
              PEXNY
              SAVXY
              SHNZY
              SHSTY

I was thinking about PEXNY but it doesn't seem to have traded in a couple of weeks.

Any of you guys like these ADRs?

I'm also interested in HYFXF, it's a Singapore company that is involved with water purification in Asia.  I like the long term fundamentals of Asian water companies.

TD Ameritrade is indicating I can buy this at normal commision rates even though Fidelity will charge extra.

There's an ETF but with not sure if it trades dueing American or Thai market hours and if commisions are the same as for American ETFs.

                    Anyone know?

No Shite, fiscal chaos, political chaos, lowest growth in Asia ( I don't think anyone counts Burma) and the threat of stagflation hitting next year.

                        BUY BUY BUY

Still waiting for the property market to weaken.

isn't that the old Thai Farmers Bank?

think I might still have an account there somewhere....

I've not a clue about markets so should really stay the fuck away from this thread but...

what do you guys expect the Thai markets (especially currency) to do if the USD keeps sliding, and what effects could be expected if/when PRC (China) dumps their USD reserves in favour of something else?

                              I've made kathylc

The Thai market is completely unpredictable right now.

If the election went well; they passed new lawyers concerning foreign ownership/investment that were positive and they invested wisely in infrastructure - then the economy could be very very good

If, on the other hand, the election turns out to be a dirty indecisive event resulting in a weak coalition government, they pass restrictive laws on investment, and the infrastructure projects get mired in corruption and delayed -- in that case you will see slow growth next year coupled with inflation ( USA lowering interest rates==inflation elsewhere, please don't ask me to explain )...that beast from the past STAGFLATION.

AT the end on the day, I still haven't invested in the Thai Stock Market

China can't dump their reserves, China NEEDS the USA to continue to buy their crap even if it means subsidizing the USA to continue to do so

The Thai Baht is even more unpredictable...I can't understand why it is as strong as it is (although one factor is the weakness of the Thai economy, if the Thai economy was stronger they would buy more foreign goods and that would depreciate the currency). I can say that it is KILLING the exporters here, they are really suffering with the 15-20% drop over the last 2 years.
