Sense to it??
It does seem iilogical to see the US$ appreciating but it has all to do with the Central Banks, the Sovereign Funds, Hedge funds around the world all wanting to decouple their connection plus with the Yen Carry Trade unwinding,
all of this requires the purchase of massive amounts of US$ & that creates a once-off demand & gives the illusion that all is well with the greenback.
There maybe another year for these positions to be closed out, some say less but whatever, once done the demand for the US$ will fall like a stone.
Of course many smaller economies will fall with it & you may still enjoy cheap holidays. Thailand's economy is in for a pounding this year, but this won't necessarily be helpful for anyone looking for bargains.
