New term starts at Guess Bar high school Sat 2 Dec

Jay is opening the new school year at Guess Bar with a special party on Saturday 2nd December. Many of her new 'students' will be in attendance and the guess bar school uniform is compulsory.

Your welcome to attend from 7pm and this is the first of many parties Jay is planning for Guess Bar.

Apparently the school uniform is modeled on the university she went to:-
White blouses, at least 2 times too small.
Black or Red skirts, at least as big as a belt
No bare legs €“ so its stockings, garters, suspenders and pop socks
Footwear that is totally unpractical and positively sexy

Certainly does not sound like the uniform at the school I went to, but hey this is Thailand.

The headmistress will be undertaking inspections of the girls attire and reprimanding anyone not correctly dressed like a slutty schoolgirl and punishing them with lots of tequila shots, telling them to stand in the corner and slapping their arse. She might need some volunteers to help with this part.

Sounds like fun and lots of fun goings on being planned for the evening including free bar fines, free drinks and more. The fun kicks off from 7pm on Saturday 2nd December.

I'm just not too thrilled about the idea of ending up in the background of one of your photos.

I'm sure you'll be polite and blur the faces of bar patrons when you post them on the internet, but that doesn't change the fact that you still have them unblurred on your harddrive.

Sorry if I seem to be unnecessarily paranoid about my privacy, but it's a real issue for me (and I'm sure I'm not alone in this regard).

Perhaps you guys could set up a "photo corner" or "model wall" or whatever.

Photos could then be taken of the lovely ladies in whatever outfit they happen to be wearing that evening (school girl shots are certainly going to be in demand), but the cameras would be pointed AT THE WALL ONLY, so they'd be no bar patrons in the background at all.

If you can arrange a compromise like that, I'm sure you'd garner a few more customers from the "camera-shy" crowd (like me).

But I'm not going to feel comfortable in any bar with flashes going off and me always having to be on the look-out to make sure I'm not in the background of anyone's shot. I wouldn't be able to relax in that kind of atmosphere.

Now easy there, Mr. Bear. You are usually very quick to respond when other posters unnecessarily slag off folks, and quite rightly so, but it seems to me you're at least a bit guilty of the same sin here yourself.

The guy is making a legitimate point about photographs and deserves better than the kind of jerk-off response you gave him, to coin a phrase (unless of course you were just kidding, but hey, I've got no sense of humor so I can't tell).

It also seems to me that his suggested solution to make life easy on everyone is a good one with no real downside for anyone. I hope Jay will coniser his suggestion seriously, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

On the subject of pictures its a difficult one - Jay wants the publicity that pictures of her girls will generate however to keep this in context, at the JSB party, we were probably shooting pictures for an hour of which I think we 'caught' about 4 pictures out of 300 where a farang was included, invariably as a back or side shot. Frankly, the guys are not what what interests anybody.

There is no hidden agenda to capture pictures of who is going into the bar and while its easy to be paranoid, I'd be more concerned about the video cameras that are now installed at the walkway in Nana - they capture everybody going in and leaving. Who has that footage? Well your guess is as good as mine. One girl at JSB asked for her picture to be deleted and Monkeyman did it there and then on the camera - nobody is interested in storing a collection of 'secret' footage - for all you know there are infrared cameras in any bar - I know Jay has looked at it with a view to keeping a record of what her bar staff and cashiers are up to. She has not proceeded at this stage as the cost was too high for her - but if you owned a gogo taking 500,000-1,000,000 baht a NIGHT - I think its fair to assume they WOULD invest in this kind of equipment. The thing is you would not even know it as the camera housings are so difficult to spot on a black ceiling and for sure, nobody in a Nana gogo is going to tell you that you are being recorded. Equally if anybody is so inclined, they could sit outside Obsession and snap pictures on a low light digital camera.

I guess what I am saying is that their is a slight possibility that someone could be caught on a picture, however we edit them out after the event but at least you know who we are and would be happy to scroll through any pictures there and then if you felt that you "may' have been captured and just delete them. As I said,, the purpose of taking pictures is to capture LB's not customers.

.....well time to get out my Mission Impossible make up kit and formulate a disguise I suppose Though it sounds as though no one's intention is to capture a photo of some middle age, balding, pale skinned, overweight, farang that is hitting on the young ladies. Granted one might get a photo of a back or side of a head, but if someone happens to see the pic (and identifies it)while looking for LB photos...doesn't that "out them" as a LB lover too? Seems that the Forum and its photos has been rolling along pretty smoothly so far...if it aint broke, do we need to fix it? ALOHA

I'll stand by what I posted. If you don't want your picture taken then stay away from ALL the beer bars in Thailand because there is a multitude of people with cameras and even more 'authorities' with CCTV and other surveillance type stuff on the premisises.

Don't bother showing up to Jay's bar on opening night either because there will be a shit load of photos taken and don't come the next day either because I will be their taking more shots of the lbs dressed as school girls! Mmmmmm!!!

Whilst I can appreciate most sane minded people would rather NOT have their pics splattered all over the internet groping a ladyboy I have yet to see any incriminating pics on this forum that show people in that situation...

Also... bad PR? Hey - This new bar has nothing to do with me. I just like going there. So if you want to whine about PR then go to the bar and talk to the owners.

I'll take my camera on the nights that Jay says it's OK which I would imagine will be opening night and special occasions.

Wear a hood if you come on these nights in case you accidently get snapped and end up on my hard drive!
