Hallo,

I€™m a regular visitor of the forum and very curious to find out myself the situation in Guess bar myself. So I went over there last Thursday.
I was really surprised that when I popped in at 7h30pm there where only two girls present (I€™m not counting the one sleeping under a blanket on the coach.
I was very well undertrained by the wonderful Moo. She is not my type of lb but never the less she is a great companion. Good understandable English, very sweet and a wonderful sense of humor. I bought her a few drinks. From the beginning I explained her that I was not in for bar-fining her. She accepted this without a problem.
I stayed for about 2 hours and when I left perhaps 3 or 4 LB€™s where available. Strange!!!
On Friday I returned at about 8h30pm. At that moment about 15lb€™s were there.
Hanging, playing pool or doing some façade fixing.
They were not pushy at all.
Moo came to me and I explained her that I would buy her a drink but that I would go for one of her colleagues. This was not a problem at all for her. (she was all the time very nice to me even when I went out for ST with someone else)
So on Thursday disappointed.
On Friday: not bad but not the top as in former days.

Indeed I did and she spoke very highly of you too....

We had a very nice chat before I bfined her and she left here at about 5 30 this afternoon after 'breakfast'.. ( it took quite an effort to rouse her from her slumbers at 4 pm   ) Modesty forbids me from posting the full details of the long evening, suffice it to say that once there was one, and then there were two...all very innocent mind you  

She is the kind of girl one could think about seriously ...a real gem  

I may post some 'gentle' pics with her permission at a later date.

I was at The Guess Bar last Friday and will never forget this visit. Me and my ladyboy already had tension between us and she didn't want to go because of Guess girls calling her madame and looking down to her in past visits. So the plan was I would go alone, and meet up with the forum faithful and meet her in Patpong later. Shortly after arriving I noticed a real difference in the service and attention which must have been prompted by Jay being there and had talk with them.

I was offered a drink right away, and three different Guess girls approached me, but politely told them I had gf, as I was talking to the fellas. the atmosphere was definately different than past visit.

Later my gf calls and tells me she wants to meet me at Guess bar so I'm happy for her to come. She arrives and I buy her a drink and myself. Anyway we are sitting near Jay and some Guess girls along with some forum guys. A few drinks later and Jay tells my gf in Thai of course: "You look like girl, but not beautiful" Later she made a comment about Tomcats little honey he brought over from Cascades (pictured) My girlfriend hears Jay tell a couple of the staff: "She's cute, hair not real thats a wig" The Cascade girl didn't hear this but my gf did and filled me in about this treatment of outside ladyboys. someone mentioned before that it was unpopular to bring them?

It just makes me wonder about Jays leadership capabilities when she is doing this in front of other staff and delibertly insulting a paying customers gf. Together we had about a dozen drinks, and bar bills totalled over a 1000 baht. While Jay is making catty comments and insulting outside ladyboys, one of her staff is polishing a bloke in the toilet, and comes out bragging about it to Jay who knowingly accepted a 1000 baht barfine from some high rollers from Hong Kong. Quite funny that it was this whales introduction to lb sex.

I wouldnt encourage anyone to take an outside ladyboy to Guess Bar, unless they want to subject them to this behavior. My gf is friends with two of the lbs at Guess Bar from Patpong days, and they treated her with respect, one of them Jasmine was belittled by Jay a bit too when a barman suggested to Jay that she wasnt prototypical Guess material. Jay said in english "She's Gates friend" like they were a package deal? or that was only way Jasmine was there. Personally I hate Jasmine, but for Jay not support her staff to a customer kind of showed me something. If she can't realise she is discouraging patrons through this, then I can see where the place may struggle long term.

I can see why most forum guys just go there for a beer with the guys then go off to another bar for barfining. Many of them come back with lb in tow, which Jay should be thankful they do come back to have drinks for two. She should be pressing to the staff to treat these people as customers and pump them with drinks. Instead she has an clearly attititute towards them it appears to me. Guess bar won't be getting any big bins off of me, and I will probably join the other BM in their pilgrimages to NEP.

In the end I appreciated my gf not snapping back at Jay or making a scene. Thats a pretty hurtful thing to say to a ladyboy or girl. I did promise that I would share Jays comments on this thread which I described to gf as one exposing several issues with Guess Bar. I don't care if Jay ever gets it personally, but she crossed a line, and as a former p4p she should know better, talking down to people like that. If she did that in Patpong back in her KC3 days she would have had scars to show for it.

My gf did nothing to warrant that comment, and why the need to point out that sweet shy Cascade lb had a wig? I didn't notice myself at the time. Only when my gf told me about Jays comment. Nice work boss.

I find Jay's comments neither unusual nor inconsistent. Perhaps her bluntness would be considered cruel to our Western sensitivities, but that's ladyboys for ya...

Cutting, catty, snide remarks, it seems part of the culture. Perhaps they are a stress valve to cope with the ongoing existential crisis of being katoey.

The few times I spoke with Jay, I found her to be witty & charming, a Uni graduate with more than average commonsense. More avaristic than I like, but that's Mardhi's concern, a good thing she can contribute.

Two comments on Boarhog's experience - his girl would be used to such blunt talk & would know that creating a scene in Jay's patch with all her girls around is just not the Thai way. Never cause someone above them to lose face.

Second, your girl was being a loyal friend in confiding with you what was said. Normally they would take the side of the Thai & let it go. Farangs are not meant to know what is said about them, based on "what we don't know can never hurt us".

The old Guess Bar has heard plenty of negative conversation about various board members, but as it is private, no harm done. If these remarks are the extent of Jay's bitchiness, then in the over-all scheme of things, they are not as terrible as you make out.

Yes, telling your girl she's not beautiful sounds dreadful to us, but reading her comment, I thought that sounds SOOOO Jay. And by stating the obvious about the wig, so what?

But thankyou Boarhog for reminding us that the girls can be moody cows & here at the Guess Bar, it would appear that the attitude comes from the top down.

For all Jay's beauty & fancy clothes, my god she would be hard work. I hope she reads this & understands that farangs are not difficult, we just want a place where the girls smile & say hello while we enjoy a drink. Then they may find that sanuuk conquers where moodiness does not.

Well When I took Mary into guess back in October, Jay was great with her, really friendly.
Said to me I had done well as she's so cute. Then Jay hepled with the food at Stogie & TT's BBQ & again sat & had a chat with Mary, so gotta speak as you find . Jay has always beeen nice to Me, even when she asked for Scotch & I bought her Jamesons
