Guess Bar - March 2009

I have never been in the new Guess Bar location so can't comment on it, but if the group of potential customers [or, at least, available falangs] and LB's were yards apart from one another when Indiana went in that kinda says it all; in a nutshell, from reading this thread, the LB's who work in this bar are tired of seeing the same ol' faces who only come in to drink and chat with one another and never take 'em out.

Me thinks if a horde of brand new Japanese gents walked in, as happens nightly at Obsessions, the girls would sprint to attention and be all over 'em ....... but the same ol' faces who are butterflying around BKK regularly and probably not going to take 'em out? I can understand their complacency in that case.

Well exactly! the nice people at Cascades tried to rip me off once and i went into a big rant about being a 'regular customer' etc and why would they do that to someone who goes there every week, almost.

Later one of the lb's, who i knew well told me why.

They hate regular customers coming to the bar, having a few drinks and a chat and occasionally barfining the odd lb (and expecting a discount)

They want a quick hello, pay for the bar, upstairs to the room, 2000 baht, cum and and back to the bar. I would have thought men in their 60's would have figured this out by now....

Having 1000's of posts on a forum or going to a bar 100's of times does not affect the economics of any ladyboy's work.

Gonna pay for the bar and go upstairs?

Then why bother? I'll talk with my sisters and wait for a customer, its better than talking to some old falang who thinks he is entitled to something

I am sure the owner of Guess bar would not subscribe to your theory of telling people to drink else where as that is how they make their money.

In fact Guess makes more from the pool table than bar fines.

The girls may not like the regular customers who drink with their mates and occassionally bar fine but the I can guarantee the boss does.

But the topic in hand is about the staff not being as welcoming as they used to be, and re reading the 1st post he explains this is because they are not barfining the staff much.

Seeing how they are prostitutes who make their money from being barfined, is this any wonder?

Maybe the Guess bar 'concept / format' is fundamentally flawed, or too heavily tilted in the bars favour?

I have been to the Guess Bar 3 times; twice at the old location and 1 time at the new location.  The ladies were very attentive at both locations.  I will be visiting Guess next month April 16th and will see first hand if anything has changed
