With England only losing the one wicket in their second knock on Day 4 and 80 odd in front of Australia with nine wickets left going into the final day on Monday a draw is almost inevitable..... the betting is:-

To Win The 1st Test.
Australia 20/1, England 20/1, Draw 1/14


What a fabulous Cricket Ground The Gabba now looks, almost a smaller version of The MCG.
It's certainly changed a lot since I was last there in the early 90's.

Its a shame. 5 days for a draw. Ok there has been some brilliant batting, (by both teams and in both cases match saving performances for their teams) but it will slowly ebb away today into nothingness.... England will not declare early (and why would they?) and Australia lacks penetrative bowlers.
What a pity.

Well seeing as how everyone has voted either 3-2 or 2-3 we are all a bunch of bunnies aren't we?

At least we are not looking at a 5-0 white wash again......Phew

I don't think either side has a particularly strong bowling attack and with teams whom appear to be closely matched on slow flat pitches, perhaps more drawn test matches to come.

We could even be looking at 0-0 going into the final match in Sydney after Christmas
I sincerely hope not, but perhaps a 1-0 bet on either side is worth a small punt at huge odds


Anyone else care to stick their neck out and make a prediction before the second test in Adelaide begins later this week on Fri 3rd Dec ?
