(katoeylover @ Dec. 05 2010,15:40) Another Great batting display today (or is just piss poor bowling and fielding?)
Both!!!
I am sure there is great disquiet in the Australian squad at the moment. If the weather allows Australia to salvage a draw from the Adelaide Test, England will have been robbed.
Despite the high cost of living, it continues to be popular.
To suggest Ricky Ponting's men were a rabble would be unkind to rabbles near and far.
Not my quote, but the cricket writer on the Australian newspaper
I was at Adelaide 4 years ago. When scored 550, then lost the game. Worst morning of my cricket watching life. So nothing's certain (apart from Hauritz returning) ... or maybe Warney will do a comeback in Perth, MEL, & Sydney!
Well done England. I switched on the TV to see how the Aussies were holding up this morning only to catch the closing credits of the broadcast. I thought the rain must have stopped play. It took another 5 minutes to learn it was all over.
This will be a tremendous confidence boost to the Poms & be the Aussie's worst nightmare. A fantastic English batting line-up making a mockery of a weak Australian bowling attack. Who will they select to save them in the next test on the fast wicket in Perth?
One consolation, like ghouls attracted to the scene of a car crash, the attendances at the grounds & the TV audience has been the best in many, many years. I always said the best thing for the game would be a strong English side giving our boys a bath. And they don't look like they have finished yet.

You dare to mock the quaint Aussie term for the Poms "Soap-dodgers"?
No all credit to the English team. Not a metro-sexual amongst them. They played far superior cricket with a clear intent and deserved their win.
HOWEVER:
As for the limp wristed, metro-sexual, moisturised little bunnikins....The aussies (note the use of a small "a")
Oh the shame.
I want to see David Boon, Rod Marsh, Alan Border and Merv Hughes come to the dressing room and remind the new Gen-Y breed of cricketers that Aussie cricket is about beer, not champagne, and moustaches, not styling gel.
There is not a testicle 'tween them.

Chelski dump Ray Wilkins as coach ... their season goes down the pan. Aussies dump Merv as selector ..... ditto! Any connection?
I hear Punter is still snarling. And some want Mitchell J back - not cos he can bowl, but becos he's not a poofter Harris certainly isnt a poofter .... but he's a bit at the crease with that piece of willow in his hands
