  • RIP Australia

    I need to rant!!

The current government in Australia are socialist scum.
They are wrecking this once decent country and pricing us out of existence.

Now we have a carbon tax to go on top of a mining tax to go on top of marginal tax increases Not to mention the government debt that didn't exist 4 years ago that puts further burden on people.

I just don't get what sort of dumb cunt would ever have voted this lot into government and whats worse we are stuck for another 2 years before we can get rid of them and even then the greens effectively have the power in the senate to block any measures introduced after the Liberals win the next election.

This is not democracy - it's a sick joke!!

If the current prime minister and a few others were assassinated, i would be actually be happy - a sad thing to say - i know.

I can't wait for the day i move to Thailand and get away from this shit ... but after today... it will take a little longer as a little more of my livelihood was stripped away by these communists.

Hope you are enjoying your day.

    Cheers

    Azza

      What he said!

Dreamy eyed liberals and extreme socialists, egged on by corporate scammers are the ruination of mankind.

Make your pile and get away from it all as soon as you can.

Sounds like Azza might find like-minded friends over here in the Thai Military and middle class (both recently 'disenfranchised' in an election, so I believe).... and where assassinations are not unheard of.

It's a bugger, having democracy and elections, isnt it?  Ask Assad.  Ask the Afghans. Ask Aphisit.  Ask Azza!

I agree with you Azza , creeping Socialism has fucked much of Europe. Make  it anywhere but not in Europe seems to be the Mantra in 2/3 of the EU. Its a waste of time

Employing people is a nightmare and the Employee has all the rights. I got rid of some old hag in our accounts dept and then i had a tribunal to attend... cost me 11,000 + legal costs (mine)= £20,000 to settle out of court otherwise i would have lost 30K. And she was in the wrong as well , but u cant win

I hope she gets prolonged Brain Cancer and dies a horrible death. If i wasnt of a Scientific mind i would be sticking pins in a Doll right now

(maybe we should have a rant of the week award)

Yeah... I can't choose between (or tell the difference between) corporate puppet A, corporate puppet B or corporate puppet C and if I do choose the puppet C Puppets A and B will join forces and fuck me over anyway!

I'll believe in 'democracy' when the British get a referendum on Europe!

Democracy is only democratic when most people (who bother to vote) get honest representation.

That hasn't happened in the UK since Thatcher.

Just look at the political fuck toys that Murdoch has in his pocket including the Pilsbury dough boy Cameron. Now add to that the other 200 powerful companies and sharks (oil and gas companies) who are paying off the 'elected representatives' of the country.

Do you really believe that a 'democracy' would price most of the elderly out of being able to watch TV (legally!) and heat their homes.

Meanwhile the EU has successfully lowered roaming charges in the continental EU. Fucking great news... for the cunts that it affects... people working in and for the EU dictatorship.

The policies that interest them aren't the ones that matter to ordinary people who don't even have a say in how the Euro joke is being corruptly and badly handled.

              Democracy in the West... Ha!

Even the once proud Ozzies are crumbling to the faggot issues of the day.

              Damn shame.

                Your spot on there Q

                ref to the EU
The word Democracy is meaningless here and most thinking people know that the UK electorate were conned. They did not vote for Political union and the word "Democracy" has lost its meaning. I doubt if most Labour voters asked for  East Bangladesh being re allocated in East London either after these clowns allowed 3,000,000 more benefit fraudsters into the UK

Hang the lot of em i say and press the reset button

                It is a joke

I am trying to find something positive to come out of this. No one I know questions the science behind global warming but they don't believe this is the answer.

One comment I took heart from was the observation that this would put solar energy research onto steroids.

Plus all other carbon-free energy production will attract plenty of investment. A major breakthrough will make the company involved enormously wealthy.

I don't think this is the final nail in the coffin of the Australian economy but it is a radical piece of legislation that has the grubby mitts of those socialists & ex-communists, the Greens all over it.

We have a Federal election in 2 years & the public will unleash their fury if this new tax proves to be as expensive as I suspect it will.

As it is, I think the current government has cooked their goose with this policy reversal.
Despite the high cost of living, it continues to be popular.

funnily enough the Arch Skeptic of climate change, Bjorn Lomberg now opines that a carbon tax is the only way out. U turn or not im not sure on his part ...the problem is will the Chinese and the Indians and the rest of the BRIC adopt it. The answer is no , they will not and i dont think they care. China has ruined its landscape and doesnt give two hoots for the common man

                    anwyay
Maybe yr govt are using carbon tax as an excuse to rob the public

The biggest threat is population, this is the one taboo thats never talked about but is the crux of all the problems. The planet cant suffer 9 Billion people without a massive war and it will come.

I spent last night watching a T.V interview with Lady Gaga.

Incredibly, Lady Gaga is actually more intelligent & eloquent that our fucking Prime Minister.

As Azzza so correctly stated, we are going to be totally fucked.

                      Cheers

I should have not have written that "no one I know questions the science". Thinking about it, I don't even know what everyone's opinion is, let alone you two.

It was a literary convenience I used that turned & bit me. Serves me right, when discussing divisive issues, anything less than total accuracy will negate anything else said.

I have read widely on the carbon debate, I have listened to Lord Monckton, I have waxed & waned on the issue but lately I have conceded that the scientists have a more compelling argument than the nay sayers.

I reserve the right to change my mind, I am no zealot on the matter. I would love to be around in 50 years time to hear how this has all played out.

I suspect that the solution to Global Warming, if indeed a solution is needed, will have been implemented by then & the catalyst for its discovery will be the economic imperitives that this legislation imposes on business.

And that is what the government is counting on. They are just applying the blow torch to private enterprise to force them to look at the problem. I may not like the cost imposition & the short term damage to the economy but I find a certain bravado in their thinking. And don't forget, if it is a disaster, the people will throw it out at the first opportunity.
Despite the high cost of living, it continues to be popular.

What has happened in Australia is a socialist ploy... Nothing more... Its fucking disgusting!!!

Tax the 500 big companies, and give it back to the poor. All in the name of tbe environment. Oh but its ok to send our coal to china for them to use but we cant use it here without further impost? Give me a fuckin' break!

How hard is it to legislate rather than tax??? Look up the true economics of a carbon tax... It has virtually zero economic merit.

Australia is a pissweak pathetic backwater that just follows the Europeans... Makes me sick... I don't give a fuck about Europe or their policy whims... It time we were free thinkers here in oz!

Without natural resources this place would be a banana republic.

And I still say lets assassinate that wretched cunt of a prime minister!!
