i just got a chance to check in and found this thread. just fyi, pigdogg's set up from last year at cbssports.com is still there. just go to:

    http://atsmm.mayhem.cbssports.com/brackets

i think i'm the only one signed up right now. did others try and have difficulties? didn't seem that tricky. just give them any name and 'address' and make up a user name -- BM name -- and you're set.

meantime, here, i guess we're just picking the final four? i'd go for a couple of 11 seeds early, but by the time you get to final four, it'll all be 1's, 2's and 3's.
    good luck.

I set up a new league for this year and I'm the only one signed up.
But it's a private league so people would need an invite emailed.

My experince from previous years is that it's a big hassle and 2 or 3 sign up.

So I think just doing it here is simpler.

I also have four entries in a money office pool to fill out.

I just checked the ATS fishbox and it shows 5 names, me, PD, and Thaibound along with 2 others but the only score showing is mine?

So do we just list our projected final 4 and the total points
          here??

BTW do not discount the South's #10 seed!!!!!

          Go Blue!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that's last years. I can't even access it cause I don't remember the login.

Yeah, just post here, there's no money involved.

Note, picking Michigan to win the South would not be a bad move cause if they won, you'd get 11 points which might be enough to win the pool.

So you can pick the teams u really like.

so we're just picking the final four, the champ and the final game total here? ok.

but...the link i attached above will take you straight to (what was last year's) bracket and it's easy to sign up.

hey PD, btw, i forgot my password also, so i just signed up again . easy. and more fun to pick early games when some of those low seeds -- maybe even michigan might win one.

but the chances of that shade of blue making it to the final four... i don't think so. unless you describe the wolverines' school color as "duke blue"

Dan Patrick Shows 5 most hated players. 5 guys to watch out for in the tourney.
Watchout for this goon and Syracuse, they have really emerged and beat Connecticut, Memphis, Kansas, and a slew of Tourney teams on their way to 26 wins.
Cocky tattoed Devendorf can hit 3's and automatic at free throw stripe.

                  1. Eric Devendorf, Syracuse. Allegedly hit a female student in face late last year, and was nearly suspended for the entire season by the University. The neck tattoos don't help, nor does the endless preening after three-pointers. Great shooter, but his antics at the Big East tournament vaulted him to the top spot. The word "punk" definitely applies. These guys dislike him greatly.

                  2. Tyler Hansbrough, UNC. Hated because the media fawns over him (Jay Bilas going down on him at the end of the Louisville Elite 8 game last year may have been the tipping point), and because he seems to get all of the calls from the refs. Guilt-by-success seems to apply here.

                  3. Greg Paulus, Duke. Probably had this honor the last few years. He's in the same mold as Chris Collins and Steve Wojo. Spunky, undersized, and a streaky shooter. Except he's not nearly as good. It didn't help that Dick Vitale was hyping this kid since his high school days (sort of like how Beano Cook hyped Ron Powlus at Notre Dame), and then he showed up on campus and basically underachieved in the first three years (3-3 in the NCAA tournament), and then lost his starting job this year. There's no way this guy was the 11th best high school recruit in 2005.

                  4. Hasheem Thabeet, UConn. Talked some junk in the offseason about Harangody and Hansbrough, which didn't endear him to many, especially since he really hadn't accomplished anything. Then, the 7-foot-3 center backed up his play with a strong season - he was the co-Player of the Year in the Big East - but notoriously flopped head-to-head against the much shorter DeJuan Blair of Pitt. Most folks chuckle at the idea of Thabeet being considered a top three pick in the 2009 draft; people relish calling him a bust and overrated.

                  5. Jon Scheyer, Duke. There's a website dedicated exclusively to the many faces he makes. If you ask Maryland fans whom they hate most, Scheyer may be No. 1 ... perhaps on the level of JJ Redick.

Enjoy the tourney, Ill be up all night in BKK for that 1st weekend.

My Final 4:  Michigan State, Syracuse, Memphis, Pittsburgh.

Championship game: Michigan State vs Syracuse

                      Winner: MSU ;  72-70

Yes, I have to pick my alma mater. And I believe coach Izzo will have the guys hitting on all cylinders in time to make it to another final-4 appearance and revenge against Memphis.

                      Go Green!!!

                          (thaibound @ Mar. 18 2009,19:47) wake forest
One of my brackets in a money pool has Wake Forest going all the way.

I find in big office pools with hundreds of entries is that most #1 seeds get overplayed.

The way I see it is if UNC goes all the way I'll still probably be out of the money if I pick them.

I'm a big ten fan, so I like Michigan state as class of the conference. I thinkthey can get to final four, but dont think they can win the last 2 games. If my Illini (Frazier officially out for 1st game) Illini escape Western Kentucky, surging Gonzaga will take them out and go to sweet 16.

                            Ready for tip off.

I see the boomer sooners going 2 and out when Syracuse takes them out in the semi's. Then the Orangemen probably get outclassed against UNC.
