(mardhi @ Jan. 07 2007,10:48) I understand from Jay tonight that the girl in question has also spoken to Thaibound and apologised and a discussion took place to remedy the situation - I have not spoken to Thaibound about this to ascertain if he agree's its resolved, but as I said early on - I really dont think this is a systematic approach from this girl - Jay has spoken to other guys who have been with her and everyone whom she has seen in the bar since this took place, has basically said they had no problems with her whatsoever + she was great in the sack.     Dont forget this girl is a novice - she has only been working in a bar for a couple of weeks - I really think this is a one off from her and hopefully she has learnt her lesson and I have to say I think Jay has handled it extremely well - no tantrums, no flying glasses, no threats etc etc and subject to Thaibounds confirmation a satisfactory recovery of the unfortunate situation.      

Infact from what I understand, Thaibound has become a bit of a legend in his own lifetime as far as the girls in Guess bar are concerned - apparently he has plenty of power

sorry i've been unable to get on the forum, but now that i'm home in the states i'm *finally* catching up with this thread and am amazed it's been going for so long!
this was a *minor* event, posted and forgotten, but...since i'm now finally reading it through, i will comment as comment arises and the first which does is for me to say that sorry, but fern did not ever "apologize" or even speak to me again following the incident. i returned to guess bar on a half dozen occasions since our night together, but i must add that i was usually in the company of another ladyboy and she might have felt it awkward or even inappropriate to discuss with me our time together in the presence of another ladyboy.
but if the "word" is that she apologized, made things right, refunded the money, offered me herself at either a discount or without bar fine - none of that happened.
just for the record.
in case there's any mistake, please note that my *repeated* return to guess bar should clearly indicate my fondness for the establishment and i hold fern no grudge. i simply wanted to clarify the record.
as i read on in this thread i have a feeling i will comment again....

Personally I think this thread should be deleted. One customer's comments about one LB which could at least cost the LB a few Baht per month (maybe hundreds or thousands).

Shit, stick 3 x 50 pounds notes in my face and I will take them all. And that rule counts even if we did agree on 100 for the job.

The internet lasts for years and a stupid mistake made by a customer should not finacially hurt anyone. It was not done with malice.

The customer should have learned his lesson, and there is NO apology needed.

Living in Thailand for about 25 years, I can say that this is a typical case with no further importance, but concerning the young Fern and above all Guess Bar with all Jay€™s efforts to make this Bar an unique place for all the ladyboys lovers, I just keep thinking that would be more nice keeping this kind of matters with more privacy.

You know what, i had made my post - as honestly and fairly as i could - i responded to the immediate posters and then i forgot all about it.
Two weeks later mardhi mentioned to me that this thread was going nuts. Someone was posting that fern was a postie, insults were flying and i was amazed. I had not said anything outlandish and - i thought - i had phrased my concerns quite politely.
I was unable to get back to this site for the remainder of my latest stay in thailand and now that i am home again, i am at last reading this thread, and as requested i am responding to the comments as i discover them.
I am posting repeatedly now to be done with it and so as not to further call it up as a "new post" once I am done responding to all comments already posted.
But your comment I must admit I find outrageous.
Though perhaps it is my own naivety which would make it appear so.
If i have "lost face" with the girls at guess bar, so be it.
If fern had "apologized" to me, then perhaps i would have taken another girl at guess bar.
But perhaps not.
I am not in the slightest angry with fern. I would readily recommend her for a ST. She is beautiful, sweet, and watching her lean over a pool table in her cut-offs is a delight that i would happily pay 3000 baht for -- if she were in california! I was *only* upset at a promise broken. How many times need i say the same thing before it is understood?
Blame me for showing her the money. Blame me for paying for more than i got. Blame me for posting the truth which contains less than flattering elements. Whatever.
I don't think i shall further attempt to bring "truth" to the land of "face.

There are *many* beautiful ladyboys in thailand. Fact is, on most occasions i already had a ladyboy companion with me when i visited guess bar. I went there for the relaxing ambience and the beautiful background.
As i stated on more than one occasion to a drinking companion - be it monkeyman, snick, mardhi, stogie, katooeylover, rob69..et al - we *all* enjoyed sitting at the bar, having a drink to the degree that at some point when you look toward the dancing pole and realize the place is peopled by beautiful ladyboys it comes as a bit of a shock - a great bar to have a drink *and* there are beautiful ladyboys.
I love the place. I even called it "my neighborhood bar" - despite its being thousands of miles from my home.

If the girls do not like me because i politely tell the truth, i can live with that. I can live with not returning to the bar should jay ever intimate that that was the feeling for me there.
I do not know who you are, but everyone at the bar knows who i am.
Upon my eventual return i will certainly ask after you and if you are about, i will allow you to explain your interpretation that my comments have "ruined her life"! Have you even read what i have said about fern and about the bar?

If i were only a bit more sensitive i would regret ever having started this thread, as the comments seem to range from how cruel i am to even bring it up, to how stupid i am to have paid the 3000 baht and not have kicked fern in the ass.

Perhaps they are both correct. Perhaps we should all keep to ourselves any information which might enlighten others as to the safest and healthiest course to take when encountering dissonance in our pursuit of happiness with ladyboys. Otherwise we risk damaging out own "space". ( I assume the poster refers to what we call "face"?)

But I did what i did.
Being a "westerner" i still value honesty over face, though i am beginning to more clearly see the virtue of saying the nice thing over saying the true thing. I think it might have allowed me to be a much more popular character at guess and many other bars...but i somehow managed to enjoy myself nonetheless.

My less-than-perfect evening with Fern was not the only "miscommunication" of my most recent month in thailand, but having heard all these comments I don't think I'll bother to post about the others. What's the point? Let everyone fend for themselves and the lessons I have learned I shall use to my own benefit. From now on, if i can't say something nice, i won't say anything at all.

That's a blend of western and eastern philosophy that should avoid much conflict in the future.
I am tired of this whole matter and perhaps the moderators would like to simply pull the entire thread.

I certainly don't think so! At best it should be closed because it's gone on too long.
As I understand it, the purpose of this forum is to share information bad or good about ladyboys.
If negative comments are deleted half the reasons why this forum should exist would disappear.
This isn't purely a platform for ladyboys to advertise themselves. When they get positive publicity do you hear requests for deletion? It works both ways!
