man, a 3-page thread just because a guy had a bad time with a ladyboy?

if this place had 3-page threads about every guy who had a bad time with a ladyboy that is all this forum would be about, I could create 30 or 40 just by myself. the guy had a bad experience with a ladyboy and she and the manager apologized, happens all the time no? and why it should be a bad reflection on this bar or they somehow have to compensate the guy seems absurd, it's the ladyboys total fault and not the bar,

  I still say that as always ladyboys take whatever the best offer is that comes along, no matter who they are or where they work, so this guys experience is nothing new and happens often.  Give this kid or anyone else more money or a local guy their own age whom they are attracted to [preferably with some cash]  and the westerner is dust every time.

The easy way out is for a bar to say that it's not their problem. That would be the position of most bar managers.

But it doesn't have to be that way and Jay seems eager to implement customer friendly policies that aren't standard operating procedure in the Bangkok bar scene.

Consider yourself lucky that your time spent with Eye is limited. While others on the board like to sing her praises, I would say that there are far better choices than Eye for a date. Sure she's a hottie (but so are a ton of other LBs), but that's all she has going for her.

Maybe its in different in the West than in Thailand, but employers have a certain responsibility for their employees in the US and Europe. Before one is hired on, they are screened for their compatibility with the firm's values, culture, image, etc... as the employee is expected to act as an "arm" of the firm. Essentially, they act on behalf of the firm - this of course extends to contractors as well. If an employee is negligent or irresponsible, for example a dolt of a worker spills hot coffee on someone, then it is the firm who is responsible and not the individual in any legal action. This isn't just common practice, its best business practice. Employers who don't hold their employees accountable for their actions while on the job will soon find themselves out of business (although, Nana does seem to be the rare exception!).

Although the bars of NEP and Patpong shouldn't be compared to world-class businesses, their *should* be some accountability on behalf of the bars for their workers. Just because it doesn't exist now doesn't mean that consumers should turn a blind eye and accept it (although once again, TIT).

this girl is a novice - she has only been working in a bar for a couple of weeks - I really think this is a one off from her and hopefully she has learnt her lesson..

Only thing is just to  get rid of her...

I agree with what billys saying here,

The claim she doesn't know how things work because she's only been working in bars a few weeks, well Guess bar maybe, but most LB's I met all claimed thy'd only been working a couple of weeks

The claim no other customers had any compaints about her, well nobody is gonna stand up and admit to being a stupid gullible farang are they?

Thaibounds new found reputation in the Bar as a "man with power" just flattery as means of boosting his ego

...maybe you can turn a negative into a positive by taking this as an opportunity to "train" a new LB rookie in the finer points of making the customer happy. If someone has the patience and "chemistry" with Fern(one of you local farangs), now is the time to educate her so she blows off her BF next time rather than than the customer. Another few months as a hooker and she'll be beyond hope of changing her...................Aloha

I disagree completely with this and in fact don't find Eye as attractive as most girls I like in Thailand..... the whole reason to spend time with her [and I have spent quite a lot] is because she's funny and cool, not sexier or better in bed than the others [as you say, she's really not].

Eye's qualities 'lay' outside the bedroom IMO
