Who said anything about the ones we invite over? It's the ones we don't that are the nuisance.

there was this asshole in our bar, he almost played with me... we were like fucking, but was just a play, but he never bought me a drink.. he did that to like 5 girls and he only bought for 2... those two got 3 drinks.. and the other 3 including me did not get even one... from then on, i dont pay attention when he comes to the bar..

i never asked for a drink... i always let the guy to offer... it feels better, i get to avoid rejection...
and we are also taught to not stay longer sitting with a customer if he's not buying us drinks...


sometimes, if i alreayd had an on going conversation with the guy and he has not buy me yet, i will stand and tell him, "ooops i had to go dance, because mama said i have no drinks here" and most of the time it works, when i come back after my dance, he offers...

Unfortunately there are a few guys who come into a bar for a grope, without any intention of buying a ladydrink or leaving a tip.  I hope they do get ignored (or beaten up by the observant mamasan, which is what tends to happen in Cascades or Obsessions).

If I want to chat to someone, and call them over, then I will offer them a drink.  I'm not really fussed about what's in the glass, but if they want a 'proper' drink then they should ask first. Most do that ('OK if I have a Heineken/Baileys/Breezer?') and usually I'm happy to pay the extra.

As a customer in many Thai bars I have resented the double standard of being overcharged for a shot glass worth of watered down sweet drink. All the time I have figured that is the Thai Way, TIT. Never been able to do anything about it.

That changed when I became owner of La Bamba in Pattaya. I could do something about it but not sure what. After a good 2 years at La Bamba, its about time we did something or forever shut the fuck up. Or "Fuck Off" as a very good friend of mine keeps saying, were do proper ladyboys learn such language?

Anyway, starting December 1st La Bamba will have a a brand new pricing policy for Lady Drinks. The shot glasses of ice and a splash of coke or juice are now gone. Ladyboys can order anything on the menu and the pricing will be the same as any customer, except for the add-on of the LB's drink commission of 30 baht.

I am sure that all of us that buy a girl a drink will not begrudge her a commission on her drink. Especially when one should realize that that is what she is surviving on day-to-day. Customers will also appreciate that as companions we want these girls to be treated equally to us when they are served drinks.

Excellent idea Pampamsam.
I wonder will any of the other bars follow suit. Although I would have to say that La Bamba and Ezy bar are the only two bars I have been in where I have never been hassled for a Ladydrink. Therefore like many other BM's i have no problem buying a few for the girls in these bars.
(In ezy they never ask me anyway, they ask Tata - same same apparently )

In Sally's the girls can drink what they want, customer gets charged 20baht extra for it which goes to the girl.

By the way, Guess Bar operates similar to this was well - ladydrinks are the real thing - and typically there is no hassle/pressure to buy a ladydrink.

I think thats a great system, in all honesty if I am enjoying the ladies company I would buy her drinks all night under this arrangement.I had better drop by and prove that the system works. Cheers.

You think thats bad, BB, myself and a couple of other BM,s went to Jenny Bar about 5.00am and we paid 240 baht and the girls get nothing....now thats a firkin rip off.
