(daveduke007 @ Jul. 04 2008,19:40) I received by e-mail today about their pick-up service.
Just a shame they didn't do the same for an actual reservation request Â
Dear Guest,
The airport police have changed the meeting location for all hotel car driver. Â We will now meet you inside the terminal building near Door #3. Â As you exit Customs, turn right and proceed to Door #3. Â Our driver will have a Welcome Sign with your name on it.
We hope you have a safe trip and we look forward to your arrival.

Last year I booked the PBR airport pick up. About a week or so before I was due to arrive, Boem sent me a email asking if I would mind sharing a ride with a guest who was arriving on a flight right around the same time.
She mentioned that we would split the 1200 or 1400b ride. Anywho, the guy was a no show, so I rode in a new Honda all by meself.
When I arrived at the PBR I was pleasantly surprised when the front desk crew only asked for 1/2 the 1200-1400b.
I was impressed. It really is a nice hotel and I am looking forward to staying there again in a couple of months
I have found Boem a pleasure to exchange emails with, very professional and always courteous.
PS....does anyone know if they have completed the southern most addition to the Avenues? Is there another exit now to 2nd rd other than the main one?
An interesting thread, I've got a booking at PBR for November, reading this thread it looks like I made a good choice.
As to the "aircon chest" problems, I used to get that, the solution for me was to spend 300baht at Big C for a desktop fan to keep the air in the room moving and switch the air-con off when going to sleep. That helps you to acclimatise faster as well. If you haven't got anywhere to leave it when you go home, your last nights girl will appreciate it as a gift.
Emailed the PBR last night after reading the reviews and had a response first thing this morning confirming reservation for 30 days from the 27th September to 27th October.
Boem said he had to shuffle a few other guests around to get me the month and even called me stogie on the mail back and said they value you as a preferred guest.

You'll be checking out as I'll be checking in...... try to leave the bed springs in decent shape, ok?
Ive stayed three times now and im quite happy with the Hotel in general. Mainly due to the location and price. My only real gripe being that the doors make a hell of a noise when you open/close them. I sleep with earplugs though so it isn't too much a problem.
My other minor gripe is the female reception staff mispronounced my name the first time i checked in, they find this hilarious and continue i continue to be butt of humour everytime i return.
Oh an the lift is probably the slowest i have ever used.
Sorry im a miserable bastard
will do back out in Thailand for about a year so will be fun, but wanted a good base while i hunt around for an apartment. Still not sure where to base myself tempted to head down to Samui. Will have to meet up for the odd beer or 10. Suds another one
Sorry Guys have trawled through the topic but can't find an email address for the front of house. I have submitted a booking form but had no reply.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Thanks to this very enthusiastic and absolutely correct presentation by Mr. Stogie, I am actually staying in his hotel for one week now.
The rooms on the 7th floor are really great. They cost 1600 which is VERY good value for the money. When I stay one week I think they give me one night for free. I didnt know, and I am still not quite sure, but I was told in the reseption at arrival that maybe. GOOD!! But then again,- with or without this free night I am happy to be here.
I got this room on very short notice.
After about one day I felt very friendly with the staff in the reception and the owner. A real nice guy.
I also tried your recommendation (Stogie) on the restaurant Stroganoff yesterday. Very good.
One thing about Pattaya. If anyone want a VERY nice beach, there is one, not so well known. The reseption-staff were very surprised that I knew about this place. But I found it first time I was here. I am a very curious scooter-driving tourist.
By the hotel Asia Pattaya situated between Pattaya and Jomtien there is a wonderful hotel called Bees and Trees. Just down from this hotel is the beach I am talking about. Cabbage and Condoms (restaurant-chain in Thailand) also has a restaurant by this beach.
The beach is like paradise compared to the beaches in Jomtien and Pattaya.
Next to the beach is also a yachting-club renting out small sailing-boats and catamarans. You have to be a member and the shortest period is one month. Very nice but rather expensive if you dont spend a long time here.
Just have to add this.
Yesterday I was cruising through most of the bars and places(all of them?), where they have ladyboys in Pattaya. From the Sleezy HiBoss to the hyper-show-bar Kitten Club.
I think they all have their charm. It is a matter of tuning in and making contact. That is not hard. A bit of talking, drinking, touching and laughing. And to say a very clear and not hostile "NO" when you need to.
I tend to get confused with all the strong and very different opinions presented here concerning these bars. I myself often met some trouble when walking in to the JSB, but that is the only GENERAL opinion I can present after visiting Pattaya about 10 times. The lb I picked up in the end was from a non-ladyboy-bar on soi 8. As a result of very good contact, a lot of touching and not saying "NO" to anything.
Didi's bar has not been mentioned here for a while. I was there yesterday. Very nice bar. I made a fool of myself towards one of the ladyboys there, but she was still very friendly. She just smiled and said said "Up to you" which might sound familiar. I think it is also very true if you have the attitude that it is up to you how you experience a bar of ladyboys. It is not always easy,- but most of the time it is, -and most of the time (close to always) it is just "UP TO YOU".
Stogie!
Nice.
Absolutely!
I don't know when I will be there.
I just read Ernesto's trip-reports and got inspired.
So many places I would like to go.
I guess I start in soi 6.
I also want to look for Am, Gemini bar.
I have to make a short visit to Stringfellows,
BUT I will drop by my room or I-cafesometimes during the evening
to see if you leave any response.
Are you staying at PBr too?
