Dynasty INN is not luxury but still a nice place. Right now they have construction going on next door so you will be waking up at 9am to the noise.

Areca lodge or the Lek are good hotels. Areca is probably the nicest of the 2, they both have in room safes which is a plus. The Dynasty and Penthouse do not have in room safes.

This free min-van is a promotion that really works! Fair market price of the mini-van is about 350 baht, so I wouldn't book the Dynasty just cause of the van.

          Guys

Looking for a slightly up markey hotel in centre of Pattaya that is LB friendly? Most of the hotels in the list are towards the lower end of the scale

          Any recommendations?
          Price range 2000-3000 per night

Pattaya Marriott's very nice... It might be a little over your price range @ 4500 Baht. I have been there twice. It is upscale and you do have some fancy elite types staying here but don't let that stop you! I've brought 2 girls in at a time twice and yes I did get some dirty looks from some of the old ladies staying here as I would walk through the place with 2 little tarts under each arm. OK I was pushing it in there but thats how I am... I like to push things to the limit. I brought a very loud and drunk Ladyboy in one night... I really thought this time it was going to be trouble but security just let us through.

It's very central and close to Fun Land and Walking St. and next to a huge shopping mall with MacDonald, KFC, etc... It's a large hotel so don't be fooled by the little dot on this map. The hotel compound goes from the main entrance on 2nd road all the way to a back exit on Beach Road. The hotel is said to have the largest pool in Pattaya... and yes it's very nice a place.

Concour with Bam, top notch place and very guest friendly. If the price is high do a pricline search and you might get lucky as this is one of the places that pop up in the five star rating for Pattaya. Other than that suggestion, the Siam Bayview is very nice and in a very good location.

If you don't need to be in the heart of the action I'd recommend the Residents Garden on the road to Jomtien about half way up the hill and about 10-15 walk from walking street. - http://pattaya-hotelrooms.com/TheRes...rden/index.htm you get a suite for the cost of a hotel room - Ask about the Pattaya Pages rate - 1399Baht per night.  Guest LB friendly.

Please can anyone advise me? I'm a pre-op TS from the UK and I'm wanting to stay in Pattaya later this summer. Does anyone know of a hotel that is popular with western Tgirls? Thank you, Chrissy.

This is my second time in Pattaya coming up in Dec. I stayed in the marriott resort and it was great but for what I'm looking for a little pricey...I'm e-mailed the Areca Lodge (Hotel) a few times but no response. Looks like a good place..Can anyone tell me a little about this place and is it still in business.. I'm looking for a nice hotel close to in the middle of Pattaya. I spend a lot of time on walking street but don't have to be close just convienient. See you all in Dec...JW

Areca Lodge is good. One of the few places in Pattaya that is not old and run down. Reasonable prices, 2 pools, small gym, 1 minute walk from 2nd road then 1 more minute to Beach Rd

The place I usually stay at is the Whitehouse Condotel, right beside the Dynasty on Soi 13. No pool, but recently refurbished.

the other place I like is Residence Gardens. Modern, pool, prices OK

Pattaya Center Hotel (Graham for internet rates.)

I just booked a 'junior suite' here for 1,295 (all inclusive and NO guest fee) at The Pattaya center Hotel. Graham will even confirm the bookings for you when you book online - NO credit card needed but you better show up before 6PM to make sure you get to keep your room.)

Sure the lobby is a bit run down these days but the rooms are a good size and they now have wireless internet available! It's in a great location, too on Soi 13 which means it's easily within walking distance to everywhere and you don't get the noise at night!

Fantastic location, big rooms......BUT the rooms are run down as well as the lobby. Nice pool as well. But I just find the place depressing because it looks and feels dingy.

I heard they were refurbishing rooms, but last time I stayed I did not get a refurn room so don't know if that has made an improvement....I would stay there again if they have updated the rooms
