    Hi All,

In the old Forum someone mentioned the Penthouse Hotel in Pattaya. Said it was a fun experience. Looked at the website and they seem to have a huge range of rooms available: -

    What are they actually like?
    and
What is the best room to get from a point of view of not being over the top and still having fun - some of the look real OTT and I am sure some of the LB would not enjoy the experience?

I stayed at the Pattaya Penthouse on Angelo's (Mr. Lonely's) recommendation for 3 weeks last November. *It is located on Soi Pattayaland, the main go-go bar street. *You're so close to the action you can eat Viagra and limp back to your room with your hottie under your arm with a minimum of laughter from passers by. *I stayed in a room called the Patpong. *It had a go-go stage with a chrome pole and flashing go-go lighting, and a CD/Video player. *The first thing every girl did upon entering the room was to jump up onto the stage unsolicited, upon whence I would begin snapping souvenier photos of my vacation to share with friends and family. *The room is covered in mirrors, and if you're lucky you'll get a mirror along side of your bed. *Each room is slightly unique. *The only thing I wish I had was one of the slings that hang from the ceiling. *But they only come in rooms in the next price range up. *One thing to avoid is a room on the second floor directly over the Cats a-go-go. *They start playing disco music at 3pm until closing, and you can't sleep or think during this time. *I usually need a nap around 3-5pm to charge up for the evening especially if I played golf that morning. *Ask for a room on the south end of the hotel (north end being over the go-go bar). *They were building a jacuzzi on the roof when I was there and it should be finished now and ready for various uses. *I took LB's and GG's back to my room and the receptionist never raised an eyebrow. *I will stay there again. *BTW the owner is a Brit in his late fifties and he has the hottest Thai girlfriend I have ever seen. *She can be found swinging from a pole in Cats now and then.

Just thought i would ad my opinion to the thread about the Penthouse Hotel on soi2 Pattayaland.
Ive had the pleasure of staying in Penthouse many times and nothing comes close to it, very ladyboy friendly and gay friendly, Dudley the manager is the perfect host, and partakes in the odd Lb or two, on occassions.
Bo, his Ladyboy bellboy will help you out with anything you need, and that. smoko as well..
The rooms can to some look a bit cluttered, but lots of goodies in the room basket like dildoes, whips condoms and an assortment of jellys and creams,,the fridge is always full of drinks and eats, each room has a dvd player,,and you can get as many xxx dvd's behind reception for your use, Viagra room service...
I have always found that being on the 3rd floor is best,,,no traffic noise and go-go noise..
The restuarant breakfast buffet is so-so,,Kitchen is OK for those late night snacks, but prefer to eat out most nights.
If you can afford it,,try the top rooms with jaccuzi and all sorts of dungeon practices,,,like body harness and whips ....
Location is best in Pattaya, with all the good go-go's and bars within walking distance, after midnight go for a stroll and check out the freelance Lb's on the corner...

Prior to my last trip I asked if Eastiny Place was LB friendly. Someone on the board said it was...it wasn`t. Recently Pattaya Centre hotel was recommended, but when I check reviews on the net, many say that the rooms are run down with old bathrooms. Is this true? Are the junior suites in better shape? Is the new Dynasty Inn LB friendly? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Would you elaborate re Eastiny, Pingha. Do you mean that you felt somewhat out of place or that your ladyboy guest was actually refused admittance?

never been to Eastiny place so can't comment....

The Dynasty Inn is on a hill about 2 miles outside Pattaya's walking street and would certainly not be within stumbling distance to your room at 2:15

Pattaya Centre.....I defy anyone to show me a better deal than their $1295baht Junior Suites, which are absolutely huge and have a commanding view of the whole city.

I have never stayed in a smaller room than that there, but I can't imagine that place having 'old rooms with crappy bathrooms' in any part of the hotel. The lobby makes it seem like a 4-star hotel and the prices there are good, location also. It's where I stay whenever in Pattaya and I would highly recommend it.

I second the recommendation by Jai Dee. From an old and trusted former member of this board, this Hotel was pointed out to me and i took his advice and booked in there. I went for the Panorama Suite at 1648 Baht per night, no breakfast. The room was hugh, I mean really hugh. Great Balcony overlooking the Bay and Beach Road. The bed was a king but I thought it was a bit hard for my tastes, a minor quibble though. Great Location, about five minutes to Mr 99 Shrimp Rest. and the great L/B'S that work there. Ten minute walk to Soi Yodasek(Soi6) and the S/T bars there. Did I mention that it is only 30 seconds from the beach? As for breakfast, if you need to partake, just go out the door, turn right and walk about 30 yards to the Lek Hotel, they have a buffet breakfast for ONLY 99 Baht. That deal cannot be beat, the food ain't too bad either. There is a laundry on the way to eat that provides same day service at a very reasonable price. If you are interested, the Executive Panorama Suites are the same size but have newer furniture and carpeting and are on the top two floors. Be sure to book this hotel ONLINE ONLY if you plan to have "guests" They will not charge you a "joiner Fee" if you do this and they do not hassle the Ladys. Failure to book online WILL RESULT in a joiner fee every time. I am booked in there again for a week in the Fall because I just cannot find an all round better deal for my needs.

I think there are 2 Dynasty's in Pattaya

The other one is at the Second Road end of Soi 13-ish. DON'T stay there, because there is a new hotel being built right beside it and it is fucking noisy!

In fact, I was in the Pattaya Centre 2 weekends ago and the building work kept me awake there as well

Just a personal quirk of mine but unless it's a very upscale hotel I strongly prefer tile floors to carpeting. I've noticed that many Pattaya hotels with carpeting smell nasty.

It is not THE most modern of hotels, but I agree.....can't really find a better deal for price/location/room size

Thanks for the help. It looks like one of the more expensive, booked online rooms in the Centre is the way to go. Will bring my earplugs. I was told at the Eastiny Place that NO LADYBOY would be admitted. Didn't test this policy.

Right down the Street of Eastiny is the Sunshine Hotel check it out.
At 217/1 Soi 8 but watch out there are 2 Sunshine Hotels, this one is the Sunshine Hotel&Residences.
I stayed there 3 weeks and i stayed at the left side in the new bulding so i even didn't have to go to the desk with the Ladys because they can wait before the lift.
The left building is very nice and clean with big beds (Important !)
So if you want to check in, ask for a room in the new building.

I don't like having to prepay through the internet especially during low season. I might not like the hotel. I might have a change in plans. I might want to move and avoid a clinger.
For me, I want maximum flexibilty so I'm booking my first two nights through email, and if I want to extend I'm sure there's a 98% chance it will not be a problem. Peak season is a different story.

For the Sunshine hotel you don't have to book before through the Internet.
I was going to Pattaya 1 day after Songkran and did get a room without reservation, i guess the have almost always a room free because it is big enough
