There a quite a few hotels in Kalasin, but they are all motel like efforts, the only hotel I had seen on the internet was the Rimpao Hotel, only 800 Baht a night, the other ones are all around 500 Baht

                              Its a pretty basic hotel, quite big and nowhere near full, the guests were nearly all Thai, people who live in Bangkok but who are working in Kalasin so I was told, the only other foreigners there seemed to be older guys with young girlfreinds or wives who were "home to see the family."
                              These young women seemed to have developed a bit of an attitiude since they and their folks had been hauled out of poverty, after what I saw later on this trip I couldnt really blame them though.
                             The rooms only had 2 queensize beds, which is the norm in Thai hotels in the sticks I think, there was only Thai telly apart from Fashion TV, which I managed to switch off before she saw it, once a ladyboy sees that they go into some sort of trance which can last for hours. We chill out for a while then head to see a bit of the place

The dwindling number of foreigners is now to about 0, outside of the hotel I don't see any the whole time I'm here

Early evening I need another Issan food injection, we go to a street full of food stalls, the place is very busy, as we walk through we get stared at like I have 2 heads or something which is a bit unnerving , my early warning system with alerts me to ladyboys in the crowd  "Ladyboy!" "What?" "Where?" "Who?" I get  a sore neck from spinning  my head round the whole time.Someone told me that there are more LBs up here than anywhere else, I don't really believe that but there are a hell of a lot of them thats for sure in all shapes, ages and sizes.
              We sit down to eat, everyone seems to be either young or very old, and there are a lot of old people begging and when they see me I get a small entourage all to myself, armed with a load of small change I mamgae to disperse them. I get a nudge again and look up to this ladyboy walking towards me, well you'd think she was swaggering down the catwalk. She was wearing a skin tight pale blue top and jeans and high heels short crppped hair, she was only around 17 or 18 but already stunning, and in a couple of years will probalby have guys falling over themselves to get to her if not already, in fact the place was swarming with ladyboys with a similair look.
                       I just sat there taking it all in, I hear the unmistakeable drawl of Thai ladyboys on the speakerphone next to me, I'm told that we would be going to a nightclub later,
"How many are coming over?" I asked
"Not many , about eight"
'Girls or LB?"
"LBs"

Sounds right up my alley, the north-east is the best part of Thailand for culture and by the sounds fresh new LB's.

With a bit of Thai language one would really have a great time in KK and surrounding towns. What surprised me was the size of these towns. I think Korat and KK have the biggest University numbers outside Bangkok. You know what that means? An endless supply of femboys in training.

After the food we go back to the hotel to chill out for a bit, unfortunately Fashion TV had been discovered on the box and it takes about 2 hours to get out of the room, in the end I have to march her to the bathroom by force.
We have some time before we meet the othere so we head town to the "Cafe and Theque" disco downstairs, the place is quite big, with a stage where girls dressed in go-go bar type outfits sing songs while the actual video for the song is shown on a big screen next to them. There a about 12-15 girls dancing on stages on small podiums around the place, and they all change place after each song so they all get a turn ( and so you can get a good look at them)
I'm the only farang in there , the place is full of oily looking older Thai blokes, who I'm informed are probably police or mafia or both, they all have girls on their laps, the going rate is around 1000 Baht ST.
I get stared at by some of these guys then 2 come over and ask me who I am and why I'm here, I just tell them im on holiday, all of their are looking over at the same time
"You like Thailand?" one of them says.
"Yeah, sure." I reply, he down at my Chang Beer ,
"You like Chang?"
"Yeah, sure" He looksat the LB next me, smiles and says "OK" and they bugger off so I guess its OK for me to be in there.
A couple of the girls are pretty hot, we stay for about an hour then the phone goes again to say that the others have arrived outside. I was going to take a picture of the club but was advised against it, so here is the one from the website, and its a lot bloody darker then how it looks on there...

We go outside to the car park which pitch black at the far side is this truck with a load or people in the back.
Shit is that them, we get closer and it is, There is a bemused looking guy in the drivers cabin with 2 girls and about 8 or 9 ladyboys in the back aged between around 16-20 (well from what I can guess anayway. Man what a site , it looks like they have come from sort of LB refugee camp in the jungle.
They all seem painfully shy Im told most of them have never spoken to a foreigner before and have probely not seen a farang under 35 in the flesh before, whenever I say something or smile to any of them they hide their faces and they all start giggling.
Then one of them shouts "Can I suck your dick" "Who said that?" And they all start giggling again, OK maybe they arent that shy then! We climb in the back and head off to our venue for the evening:
