I'm learning Thai and could probably get by with the essentials but also have a LB friend in Khon Kaen as well as one in Uttaradit both of whom have offered to tour me around.........but they both lean towards wanting me as more than a tour customer BUT I probably would get a better sense of the area by traveling with a local. The LB in Khon Kaen is a teacher at the Univ there and has offered to drive to BKK to see her mom then she and I could drive back together........sounds like a pretty good invitation I guess if I truly want to get an inside view of Issan. Speaking Thai helps but is not essential, but being with a levelheaded local is an absolute must, finding one, and a ladyboy to boot was the hardest part!
I was there last month, a couple more of the young ladyboys have moved to Bangkok and a new femboy has come to the fore in the shape of the impossibly beautiful "Onion" who is going to be an absolute giant and will have all you airline pilots/bankers/ tobogganists redirecting your dicks and dosh from your old flames from Pethburi Road in no time
I'm heading back up next month and will give an update then.

thanks a lot for your excellent report ,it will be basic info for my forthcoming trip to Isaan.I will enter Isaan Dec. 31 coming from Vietianne and am planning to spend New years Eve in Udon Thani , continuing to Khon Kaen and spending 2 days there. Will try to locate young LBs there and will report. As you described situation looks good. Great help !

gunslinger, good to hear you will do another trip for an update! Very interesting you are in touch with a few of these new lbs who have moved to BKK. Don't suppose you have a photo of Onion to share (as long as she is 18 or older!).
