My belief is the pound will rise gradually this year , and gain strength against the Dollar and the Euro , thus affecting the Thai Baht which is linked to the US Dollar ..................

(DrPhil35 @ Jun. 04 2009,22:23) Surprisingly the pound took a hit today on talk Brown had resigned.
I think the slight fall in Sterling on Thursday was due to the Bank of England's decision to leave interest rates at the all time low

          (katoeylover @ Jun. 04 2009,23:18) Robbo,

you honestly believe the british people are THAT stupid.

          1. Took a good economy/ balance of trade/ full exchequer and ruined it to the point of no return

          2. Labour Ministers on the take like never seen before..

          3. Immigration and the Ghurkhas

          the list is endless.

They will be lucky to get more seats than Michael Foot got in '83
in answer to your question...............a resounding yes, many are that stupid.
and my point was not the intel of the public it was the deviousness of those in power over them.
look throughout history througout the world and civilisations time and time again one person or a handfull have found ways to manipulate the masses sometimes to the extreme.
i for one hope to hell labour are crushed and believe they will be all i said was its no foregone conclusion.

Dont  be deceived . The £  could just as easily slip back to 1.38 Dollars as fast as it got back up to 1.6.

If the UK loses its AAA credit rating the only shares that will going up will be Kleenex

Yes, those #$%* Gurkhas! Thinking they can come over to our country and live just 'cos they died for it!
I think they're Asian, but you can't really fuck 'em so they're no use!

That's what's going all wrong with England today! Letting all them foreigners in to live willy-nilly. They'll suck our country dry and then move to the next one. Some of 'em they openly despise our values and laugh at our way of life. they won't be part of society, eating their own food, not even learning English most of 'em, then claim they're being ignored. Some of 'em openly say they come here to get money illegally, "I came here to steal!", it was in the Daily Mail!

Bloody hell, that's like I don't know, immigrating to Thailand to live indefinitely with easily obtainable visas at a quarter of the cost of your own country, while declaring you have no respect at all for their culture and society, that their food's inedible, not bothering to learn a word of the language, while making your money from something illegal here, like I don't know, pornography or something. Can you imagine that? I can't.

So let's ban all this easy immigration. Into England I mean , obviously. Sign me up!!!!

..and you're upset about your exchange rate, quit crying & count your Thai blessings for the Queen's sovereign..

                    100.00 USD = 3,423.00 THB
                    United States Dollars    Thailand Baht
                    1 USD = 34.2300 THB   1 THB = 0.0292141 USD

I'd like to think that Partington1's middle name is 'tongue in cheek'.
If he actually meant any of the stuff that he wrote, then I'm genuinely concerned about his sanity

well said, the pound cannot fall, simply because the main banks are under control of UK governement, so whatever uk bank can reported heavy lost, the pound will stay strong...just the lost of AAA or impossibility to pay the debt will affected the pound seriously...speculators love it...a state cannot be in bankrupt...if uk cannot honoured her debt; interest rates will go high..for the full benefit of speculators..and uk governement will have to increase tax for british citizens...Brown already planed to increase income tax from 40 to 50% , the same level france and germany
banks has gived all the risks to british citizen...it s a shame
