Phuket - is it a poor third?

I don't ever recall seeing such an invitation; C & D is being offered the starring role in a Phuket forum, greater exposure to your target audience than LB69 could ever give you & no price tag attached.

Sounds like a marketer's dream to me...

Not a lot to decide really, unless you think that Phuket will be immune from the harsh economic reality sweeping the world & your girls don't really need new customers.

Defying the critics, many of us have spoken on behalf of Phuket, knowing that one day its star would shine & you would have your turn in the spotlight,

now the curtain is going up, the audience is getting restless, the moment is nigh, what's it to be Jim? This is no time for stagefright.

Jimbo34, seeing as it's a New Year, and you have made one or two changes to your own bar in the last four months, why don't you try a positive and optimistic post about all the things you know about Phuket, including your own bar. Keep the picture size to a quick to download 100k or so. You want the increased business it will generate for you or not? Up to you!

Contrary to what you may think, I am not a paid spokesman for the place, I don't have any financial tie, I was simply putting the case for the increased number of people Jim's bar will be exposed to.

This is better for future business for Jim than maintaining his own website. I don't have the numbers but I will bet the Ladyboyforums attract more hits than katoysrus.com.

Of course Jim won't have the freedom to delete annoying posts so it seems sev7en will be free to continue asking silly questions.

No. Why would I. I'm an affiliate for LB69 and all it's other sites.

Not only that, I have long since actively promoted the LB69 forum and even have a direct link to it on the home page of this forum.

We get on very well and despite the best efforts of a few people who have a personal axe to grind with me we will continue to do so.

But back on topic...

Is Phuket a poor third?

How would I know? I've never been!

Phuket is 3rd to no-one in Thailand, it may not be everyone's favourite destination, but to imply that it is inferior to Pattaya & Bangkok is absurd.

It is a different holiday experience, attracting a different clientle on average, more Europeans & Australians, less Russians & Middle East visitors than Pattaya, a more beach focused holiday with some world class resorts being built in recent years.

Stogie knows what he must do if he ever wants to learn. As long as his experience isn't marred by some of the things that can happen anywhere in LOS, he will find it a most agreeable place.

And for new LBs, it is a popular destination, stories of wet-behind-the-ears visitors accepting silly rates have drifted back to the big smoke. Who's to blame them for wanting a bit of it?

Despite not having been before I'd still have to say that the average guy reading this will probably be weighing up the pros and cons of each destination on the ladyboys alone.

If, however, you want to combine your trip with something like Scuba Diving then Phuket would be the first choice.

If you had tired of the same old traffic and trials of smoggy Bangkok and noisy Pattaya then obviously the next port of call is Phuket.

If the sun and the sea are a fairly important part of your trip to the LOS then Phuket trumps Pattaya and of course Bangkok.

There are plenty of reasons to go to any of these places... we all have our comfort zones which we migrate towards.

Personally, I'll continue to meet my (few remaining) chums in The Guess Bar and hop on the bus to get laid in Pattaya. Phuket is something that I haven't yet found the desire for. I don't like beaches and I've been put off by the stories of nasty scamming Tuk Tuk drivers.

When the chums run out and the Viagra has no more effect I'll be sunning by my pool, in Hua Hin, waiting for the lights to go out!

If the coming crackdown on Phuket bars by overzealous Chantaburi authorities isn't enough to damage the bar scene in Pattaya, the gloomy economic outlook for Thailand will ensure the place will be worse in 12 months time than now.

Many of the girls will gravitate to Phuket, the cheap charter flights keep the place well serviced with farangs, all on holiday looking for booze & sex. The average guy will take a while to cotton on to this new order of things, but I will say it again, Phuket is the future.

Oh dear, oh dear.......don't go mixing up a life plan with LIVING. That reads like you  are on your last legs, all original thought rendered redundant by the tiresome repetition of someone seeking to recapture the thrill of what was original behaviour many years ago. Even a lab rat finally understands there must be more to life than running around treadmills.

The operative word here is YET ,  maybe you don't want your belief system shattered, negative stories have sustained you a long while, surely somewhere in your mind you have entertained the thought of seeing for yourself?

And these stories may be true but with so much accomodation available within walking distance of anywhere you need to go, with motorbikes rented cheaply by the day & with your Thai speaking girlfriend to help, just how will these guys impact on your holiday?

And the beaches, these are not any old beaches, Phuket boasts some off the whitest sand beaches with the cleanest, blue/green seas you can find anywhere here on earth. It's a lot not to like.

I can only wish the end comes for you quickly, it sounds like you will have suffered enough, what with having lost your inquisitive mind.
