Stringfellows Current Line-Up

I specifically made a point of not posting anything on this Stringfellows thread after I was unceremoniously told never to return over a misunderstood overheard remark.

I never blamed Bob, I didn't think it fair he should suffer from the stupid behaviour of his girls, but I see the mood is not getting friendlier.

When they start to piss off more & more BMs who have the power to advise everybody else what they can expect, then they really are undermining their own future.

I see part of the problem is their requirement to dance while there are customers in the bar - they soon won't need to worry about dancing if we keep being treated in this less than pleasant style.

4 months and I have visited maybe 4 times...The other evening I was walking by and stopped for a
few minutes to chat with a girl I know...The other girl sitting with her told me to fuck off if I wasn't
going to come inside...so I did...fuck off that is...and went to La Bamba...

I stopped by last night for the party...but only because some friends were there...but I sat outside
the entire time...

Unless the girls' attitudes change, which I don't expect in this economic climate, I won't be back anytime too soon...

Edit...I suspect their behavior toward me has something to do with the fact that they don't recognize me and think I'm a new guy in town...
While that may be the reason for their rude behavior, it's not an excuse...

Stringfellows is quite a curious bar in this respect.  FWIW, here is my take on this ...  there are a few girls I know in this bar that are polite, well-mannered and a pleasure to be with and talk with. They don't hassle you, they don't demand drinks, tips, etc. But the problem is that these behaviors are the exceptions.

I have been in the place 6 or 7 times and have barfined a couple of times. Each time I have been there, I have had good experiences with the girls I interacted with. No hassles whatsoever (from the three girls I was with inside).

However, most times I have also witnessed other customers getting verbally abused by other dancers (the most recent one I saw was Burenboy, I was there and what he wrote in this thread is 100% accurate). The fact that this continues to go on in this bar is what drives customers away.  I think everyone is on their best behavior when the owner is there, but as in every bar in Thailand, unless there is a mamasan there overseeing things, then the girls act as they please. And many are rude and abusive. If the owner sent one of his friends for a visit, one that is unknown in the bar, he would get a real picture as to the things that go on in this bar.

Sad, as the place has a few good girls.

I've visited SF many times. I've never seen a customer hassled nor has any dancer be anything be nice to me. Maybe I've picked a nice set of LBs to hang out with (recently Yo, Opor, Oy, May(ex-sf)).
A few weeks ago I was in town I and barfined twice from SF and twice from Ezy. Since I stay close to SF I usually stop by each evening even if I'm not planning on barfining from SF. So I've done a lot of bench time in the place and I find it's a pleasant place to hang out.
The only annoyance for me is the server girl who asks me if I want to buy a drink. This is just a pet peeve of mine. I do buy the girls with me a drink but I don't like her asking me, especially as she comes up microseconds after I sit down.

I agree- it's nice to actually sit down and take in the atmosphere for a bit then make an offer to someone rather than get hassled the second you walk in but no one seems to want to take it on board. It's a shame because it ruins what CAN be a very good nite there

I'v generally had good experiences in SF but one girl did once suddenly start shouting abuse at me for apparently no reason. I hadn't even talked to her. Very strange

Yes, the major loss of enjoyment often occurs during interactions with the server girl. The one I always remember (who told me what to do with the B10 coin) is called 'Pig' or something similar. Very apt.

The so-called Mamasan can often be seen sprawled out in a corner fast asleep, so is of little or no use unless the boss is in.

I like many of the girls in there who have always been more than pleasant to me, such as Suzy, Boeing, Kip, Nat, Lek, May and several others past and present.

The issues I have experienced have always come from the server girls rather than the dancers for reasons others have stated.

Perhaps they did recognize you as someone who had been there for a long spell but had been mostly just passing the place by and not stopping.
