    (Snick @ Feb. 27 2009,02:37) I recognize that prick !!!

A few months ago I was taking video of some drunk farang who couldn't even stand up straight in the middle of walking street, and was doing the jerky-dance.

Mr. Prick ordered me to stop shooting video, I said 'why' and continued to shoot and ignored him.

The volunteers are a horrible idea, one day they will do something monstrously stupid and they will be dissolved.
i was having my drink with two sexy lbs from linda's bar last november or december i cant remember and sudenly a russian miss stop oposite the bar a start to shoot a video.i grab her by the hand a ask her to delete the video. The prick show up and wanted to make un issue.finaly the miss deleted the video and both went were their way.

My thoughts entirely, I have come across a lot of these power crazy pricks over the years, you usually find they have had high hopes of being in the military or in the police force in their own country but have failed to cut the mustard.

"those that can walk the talk, very rarely openly talk the talk"

Some of you will know what I mean by that statement, but for those who don't it doesnt really matter as it doesnt apply to you anyway and I wont explain it further.

(jonstroud @ Feb. 27 2009,07:00) An off duty volunteer policeman maces some freelancers on Beach Road who are almost certainly going to rob an unsuspecting tourist

The streetwalkers are nearly all diseased, crazy, thieves or a combination of the three.
        That is just bullfucking shit...

Last night I left Ezy Bar around 3 am and walked to my room on Soi Lk all the way down Beach Road...A trip I have taken frequently the past four months ...
Never once have I ever felt uncomfortable or threatened by any ladyboy I have met along the way...Well, except for a couple of times when I have run into
Riga on her motorbike and been offered a ride home...

During these four months the only time I have had any money stolen from my room and the only time I have been physically threatened was by girls who work in bars...
In fact both from the same bar many BMs would claim as their favorite Pattaya bar...And I should point out it was the first time a girl has ever stolen anything from me
or threatened me in all my trips to LOS...And in both instances I have no doubt I also played a major role...

From the tone of your post, I suspect you were one of those stupid drunk fucks who went for a walk when he shouldn't have...

those who can't teach gym are volunteer cops in Pattaya.

(jonstroud @ Feb. 27 2009,07:00) An off duty volunteer policeman maces some freelancers on Beach Road who are almost certainly going to rob an unsuspecting tourist when they get him alone in an hotel and are causing a disturbance in public that was about to turn into a mass brawl.

The man deserves a medal. Finally someone is taking the right action with the Beach Road hustlers.

There are enough bars in Pattaya for hookers to either work in or hang out. The streetwalkers are nearly all diseased, crazy, thieves or a combination of the three. That pepper gas attack was merely a gentle hint at the kind of treatment that should await them if they continue to blot the landscape.
Jonstroud? This wouldn't be you we are talking about here? Or a mate of yours?

I was very careful not to slander Paul Anthony Harrison, I am well aware of there being two sides to every story & though I referred to him as unsympathetic, I realise I wasn't there.

However you alone jump straight to his defence. Why?

And your description of streetwalkers is the most misogynistic attack I have ever seen on the forum, way out of step with those who live in Pattaya & revealing far more about your own hatred.

Please enlighten us with your experience, have you personally been attacked? We all hear about the yabba crazies, none of the girls will ever be up for the Nobel Peace Prize but was this situation truly worthy of Mr Harrison receiving a medal?

It seems to me that you know far more about what happened than you are telling us.
Despite the high cost of living, it continues to be popular.

              Obviously he has.

Nobody would think to write such rubbish unless he was a victim and had gotten bitter as a result of the experience.

Volunteers have been down in Phuket for years.

I think its a good idea - however selection criteria needs to be examined more closely.

They add value when farangs are in trouble as they can speak the native tongue - can help resolve situations a little more easily.

You ever tried to negotiate with the boy in brown? I have and to be honest i'd rather have the conversation with a farang who better understands me.

As for this guy -- clearly the heat got to him!!

errr... you mean they should select who agrees to work for no money in return of some power ??

it is pretty clear IMO that this kind of selling proposition can only attract crooks and power hungry sociopaths.
Sure, there might be some exceptions, but...

I think everybody on this forum who has been to los has been a victom of a lb or p4p worker. however everyone to man except for jstroud is seeing it for what it is. A guy who never had any authority in his life except for maybe a mall cop or night security finally gets a chance to excersize their authority on the dreaded lbs.

Doesn't the fact that all these lbs came in an passionately pleaded their side about this idiot tell you something? How do you explain his uniform change? How can anyone in their right mind side with this rent a cop? We can't even call him that if he is a volunteer.

I love the video when he is trying to steer the female witness to side with him. Its great we got to see his reactions in the police stations, it helps us rational thinkers see right through this for what it is.

I love the way these spotters put military stuff on their uniforms. He;s a Brit and he's not even wearing Brit Jump wings- they look like Canadian ones. Theres a tosser up in CM as well who has his medal ribbons on his uniform. Wanna bees with attitude- what gives him the right to stop tourists filming on walking street.
I couldn't give a shit how long it is until you're next holiday- I live here

Mate i think you have missed my point here - i'm not talking about your mates or friendship - it's about having native speakers around to solve an issue that could otherwise blow out of proportion due to misunderstanding with respect to language and even body language.

If it was such a disaster i'm sure the thais would have stopped in by now.

All in all, its probably been a successful idea - sure you get one or two dickheads from time to time - they won't last.
