Phuket is full of drunk swedes and families around Xmas.

i agree im 100% BKK,but just pointing out that utapao airport is the viable option so long as you can get there, its only 3 hrs taxi to BKK ,if i was real pushed id look at phuket-utapao-bkk if its poss.

Nice read. I agree with the author. Hope this gets solved quickly, maybe a day delay or so, I am staying positive here.

Thanks, i know there are options, but as it is, i´m paying a bit more for the 9 hrs non-stop to Bkk to avoid the budget airlines with layovers and delays. Some of those take 20 hrs

"You couldn't make it up" (nobody would believe you).

Why is this becoming the new Tourism Authority slogan in Thailand?

                      Unbelievable Thailand I wonder.......

                      Cheers

The government could have seen this coming and quickly expanded the role of Don Muang Airport to cover this.

Huh - or maybe its easier to stop 400 protestors than move 100 aircraft, 25,000 employees, etc etc??

But unless Somchai the transport man is a relative of the government, in which case it would all make perfect sense........

                          Cheers

Both Don Muang and Suvarnabhumi access roads have been blocked, according to China Airlines press release.

                              Look on the bright side.

Those idiot Money Traders might finally get the message that the Thai economy is going to go down the tube due to lack of tourists and finally pull the Thai Baht back to a more realistic exchange rate.

                                Favourable exchange rate or not

Looks like my first trip to LOS is down the drain
