Even though you had shown her that you only had 2000 Baht on you.  She maybe though you were trying to get it on the cheap and really had more money with you that you were not showing her.

Her thinking  -  I'm guessing from her actions in the room  -  were that at the point of no return     she would be able to pressure you for more.

Obviously when that did not work she went into the 'starfish' routine.

I guess you can't blame her for trying!

I'd probably just chuck her out.  

Anyway if everyone liked all the same people the world would be a very boring place

I think there are number of points worth making on the first post.

Unfortunately LB's & GG's will sometimes "change" once in the room or even after you barfine. I had one GG tell me on the way to the room she could not have sex - I thought this was my misunderstanding or language problem. Not so - my exit strategy was to push her out the door quickly with 500 Baht. Then back out on to the street.

I don't know the reason why this happened, maybe she really liked me and was in period. Who knows? Who cares? It is her country & I am a guest, paying 500 baht was probably being too generous but it also was cheap insurance to keep her cool.

My point is that you need to shop carefully and develop strategies. This is the best part of learning about Thailand.

Develop a question list prior to offering to bar fine the LB. Develop rules. Develop strategies.

Some of mine are:-
1. Never barfine girl who approaches within seconds of me first entering a bar.
2. Say no & too tired if you have found a nice prospect & then go back the next night to see if the enthusiasm is still there.
3. What is her reaction to offering a bar fine and what does she want in baht (this is most informative).

Flexibility is a good thing. On my recent trip I went without for a day or so, on another day I went with 3 different girls (2 x GG & 1 x LB). The last one of the day was just too good to miss.

This does not help you except to highlight that chemistry is still an essential ingredient. If they are into you in some small way the experience is usually positive.

Sure, it doesnt sound like much but when you fuck two to three girls a day like I do, it adds up quick. I am an attorney and can afford it but the point is value not price.

It's extremely good value for money otherwise we wouldn't be flying half way round the world for it.

I cannot blame her for trying, but I blame her for acting that way, and sorry, but I do not care about their issues in their own lifes, it is not my problem, I am not the one who push them to do this job and if they are not nice with their customers then they probably have to choose another job.
I am (and you are) the customer(s). In every business, rule #1 is respect your customers because they are the ones they feed you. it is valid for me in my business and it is valid for any other kind of business.
I have the money, so I am supposed to be the one who should rule the the story.... . Rule #2, you do not respect the deal, you do not get paid! it is as simple as that!!!
Everytime I went to guess bar I was the only one customer even if each time if was in the late afternoon, not the peak hour I presume, this place look very quiet. So I guess instead of trying to ask rates such as 2000 for a quicky and try to be an elite or so place, they better try to be respectfull with their commitment.

Likewise I've had good experiences with some girls with bad reps and vice-versa. Generally my bad experiences have involved me trying to negotiate down a superstar and getting reduced quality service as a result or probably because I was pissed up and not particularly appealing. These days if the negotiations are too tortuous to start with then I move on and find someone I get a better rapport with.

once in the room it is too late to negociate. Once again, I am the customer I am the one who rules, not her, if she does not agree...fine, I am OK with that, i have tons of choice do not make me loose my time....

It is a shame the guy is taking so much stick for putting up a bad expereince with a LB loved by so many regulars. He was being honest and has every right to be so.

Those that want to heed his comments can and those who don't that is also there choice.

I like reading through the forum but do find a strong biase towards Guess. When I was last in Bkk the place was shut dispite being advertised as open for some of the time. Other LB bars were open and I had a good time anyway.

Good to see some honest comments and hope that it is taken on board.

I don't think he's 'getting stick' at all  -  just a few fairly blunt and to the point comments.


What most of the commentators are trying to point out is that at sometime probably every customer has had a bad experience.
I'm sure pretty well every girl has ended up giving a customer a bad experience for whatever reason.


I don't defend Ohm but what I do suspect is that while Filoubidou with his apparently western thinking thought he had agreed an enforceable agreement.
Ohm with her Thai thinking saw it differently.


Thais respect power and money equals power.
The Thais will say 'up to you'  -  it's hard to translate this saying properly as it does not have quite the same meaning to them that it does to us.
Roughly it means  -  you have the money you will do what you want I can only follow  -  follow not agree!


And yes the Guess bar is not immune from this sort of behaviour.

I have no idea what you are reading, but obviously not the posts in this thread...

No one has attacked him or maligned him for his opinion...just disagreed with him in part...and I'm the only one who has given Tom/Ohm a thumbs up...

Getting stick  -  the stick being criticism  -  so being criticized.

As you said Kahuna I don't think anyone has criticized him as such - just pointed out that this sort of thing happens sometimes.
