Guess Bar - March 2009

I have not been in the bar for ages (apart from 2 nights ago) so cannot comment directly. However as a general observation, I feel that the bar service has declined and its unfortunately down to the lack of the owner being around. The appointed successor is a total waste of space (the little sister) - they both know my views already - I have told both of them directly. As someone said, if the owner cant be bothered - neither will the staff. Unfortunately I am not good at pushing water uphill so tend to avoid the subject - it will strike home one day, but until that day, I am not sure anyone is listening. Having said that, I do still believe its got its niche and the staff are on the whole still very good - however they seem to me at least to be like an orchestra without a conductor.

Oh and in answer to someone's question - the other business being referred to is a acrylic nail salon which Jay has opened. She is struggling to find staff to work in it hence she is there most of the time. Again, I have my own views on how poorly this has been executed, which probably explains why she has not found any staff - again, she will find out herself that you need to work for everything - nothing comes on a silver platter in the world of business.

...just in the case of GATE, i know her and so i know what happend about her "price"......, but i not care the price they call......i spend for every LB, not different about bar, name, sice......and so on, only 1k.....!! .....and ever, never i have a problem with them....


so only funny for me listen what daydreaming rates they want....., and what they later get for sure....

so boy's be strong, tell them your limit, and if they want more ....just say "sorry NO !!"

...this is the only way to bring they back on earth.....for every customer....

I'm with you guys..... if there were regulars from here signing autographs,  THAT  would be The Event of the Year by far, not some party in pattaya.   People from here really think they are important enough to sign an autograph?  for what exactly, talking about ladyboys??

 The only thing funnier would be if the LB's were signing aurographs and forum readers were collecting those!

If it's the same calendar that used to make the rounds for a while around the  BKK bar scene [and which I promptly put in the bin whenever I was handed one] it may have been the inventor of said calendar, who seemed to waste his own money and time taking photos to make it, only to go ahead and hand 'em out for free. Errrrm, for what reason, exactly??

Man, I wish I could've been in that place the night Indianajones saw that, it would have made my year!!

I was given my own free autographed calender (autographed by the whole group) by a somewhat smug character who seemed to think that the fact i had never heard of him, well his username, made me some kind of backwards hillbilly straight off the banana boat.

Full of his own self importance he also also informed me that smoking was illegal in bars in Thailand, in my turn i informed him that prostitution was also illegal in Thailand(a standard line i like to trot out that usually gets a smile) but it was met with no hint of one that night.

(Note Guess bar management handed me both an ash tray and lighter)

Like some sort of moron i forgot to ditch the calender as soon as i got outside and still had it in my hand when i arrived at Obsession..

1 tip for you all, dont walk into a ladyboy bar with an autographed ladyboy calender and try to explain that you are keeping it for a joke....

oh god i can still remember the reaction 1 year on...

There will also be a opportunity to take photos of us with the lb of your choice.

I walk in and sit down, ladyboys at one end of the room, this group sat near the door. (Interaction between the 2 groups for the hour or so i spent there was 0)

I sit down and order a drink, and a middle aged man approaches me, calender in hand, and points out his signed username.

I nod, utterly bewildered

Man laughs and says 'Don't know who i am, do you?'

you can imagine the rest of the conversation

The calendars are great. Some fantastic pics in them. The guy who made them goes to a lot of trouble to get them done and I reckon they are worth it, too.
