theme nights, 70's music, slow dance , poor girls i say. before they only had to sell their bodies, now they have to sell their soul too. if the bar start with all this shit, they will get a hard time getting any workers. thais are thais, they like loud'n'blaring, their som-tam and their chit-chat. if someone try to force the western lifestyle on to them, they will not be a happy thai anymore.

what could be done is to have beds there like the post-heavens above in pattaya, and maybe even a table dance where punters can look up their skirts and put 20bahts(or more) in their panties/stockings ..

Although many people seem to run the Go Go bars down they do serve a purpose for the guys that just plonk down for a few days or a week...lets face it they dont defy trade descriptions claims, what you see is what you get....a meat circus... and i would think thats fine for many.

I dont have a any preferd bar these days but its always good to have another location to sup in.

On the subject of business in general , they was a nice old quote i read in the paper today from Baroness de Rothschild about the wine growing business...

I caught up with Jay last night and was asking how things were going. So far it seems that everyone likes the bar and overall style of the place. i.e fairly quiet, mainstream music. Customers seem to like the girls approach, but agree she needs more which is happening this weekend.

I think you will find 'party' type events happening every two weeks and for the most part on Friday or Saturday nights. The other regular nights will I guess be more of the standard set-up in fact one customer referred to it as a 'cheers' type bar.

Her cousin who runs & owns the big bar further up Sukhumvit has been in numerous times and advising her on staff management, stock control and that kind of thing. She seems to have picked up a lot in the last week and now makes a damn nice B52 in the cocktail shaker. I ordered 8 for all the girls in the bar last night and they love them. The girls themselves seem happy enough in the new environment as basically they have a piss easy job - no dancing unless they want to (and a couple did after the B52's worked their magix), plenty of opportunity to chat to each other and comfortable chairs to sit in. One girl from Cascade was in last night and she loved the bar and happily chatted with all the other girls in the bar. Seems a very relaxed style throughout - still needs some polishing on the finer art of service (i.e lime/lemon with the G&T) but that will come with time and practice. Anything done wrong is replaced without question which I thought was nice. After, what 6 days of soft opening, seems to be going well and settling down.

Love the bar, easy going, no hassle, very very friendly staff, s/l time rooms up top, Thai food market down below, bring your own l/b, and the odd crazy night, for those who want it, what more does one want.

My God - You're right! I mis-understood the meaning of the word BEAU and thought it meant partner (girl or boy.)
