the topics and the responses are detailed and in many cases are hilarous , all good info on whatever pops into your mind, I've been 6 times in two years, and first time read forum from start to finish, made notes, and had nary a problem from hotel, to food, to LB'S, enjoy the time you spend here and in BKK

i think there is a lot of wisdom in this, on my last 2 trips had so many 'plans' most of which were a waste of time in the end. The only definites for my upcoming trip are
The Guess Bar, Obsessions and Edens, and then on my Pattaya leg the 131 bar, all the rest will i hope be a sort of 'spontaneous bonus'!!

Dr phil, my advice to you is try not to have too many plans, once you get to bangkok(first time) head to nana and guess bar close by, and feast your self on the 100.s of willing and stunning ladyboys there. your at the dynasty grand which is walking distance to the action, also this hotel has no joining fee and is ladyboy friendly.
GO WITH THE FLOW and \enjoy.

Hello DrPhil,

Chiang Mai is a very good tourist destination.  There is plenty to see in and around the city.
I would say it is one of the places not to miss in Thailand.

For ladyboy hunting it can best be described as hard work unless you have a reasonable standard of Thai and some real luck.

There is an amateur ladyboy cabaret show in the night market but the girls are not exactly 'A' quality.
You sometimes find working girls in a few of the bars  -  but the pick of the bunch usually go to Bangkok.

The local university on the north-western side of the city had dozens of ladyboys a few years ago and I would be surprised if that had changed.
You often see the students in groups in the local night clubs and disco's.

Many will be happy to go out with a falang boyfriend  -  especially if you pick up the tab and you have a good chance of things going further.
The problem is that most can only speak a few words of English  -  that's why I say you really need to speak Thai.

I've been wanting to experience a Ladyboy for a long time now. I am finally sneaking off to Bangkok, arriving early November. I have booked in to the Nana hotel.

I've been there before, but just with women. Since I have never been with a LB, I am a bit shy about it. I know a few people around the Nana area and don't want to bring LBs back to the hotel.

Nana has ST rooms upstairs (apparently ) but it will be ST as well, in fact if it's your first time maybe you should check into another hotel and take your chosen girl there

You can do some more reading in the Forums, but since you are experienced with gg bars the situation is quite similar. You should already know there are short time rooms available at Nana, so there is no need for you to go back to your hotel. Also if you get to the Guess Bar by the end of November, there are also short time rooms available in that complex.

Patpong has King's Castle 3 for preop lbs, and there are also short time rooms around that area as well.
