Thanks for the advice so far. I originally wanted to go it alone, and now I feel a little more comfortable doing it.

I think I am just going to fly into Bangkok and then take the bus to Pattaya. So I should for sure make hotel reservations before I arrive?

Also, what is a good amount of time I should stay there? Would 2 weeks in Pattaya be too long? Or should I def try to travel around the country a bit more (perhaps singapre?)

re hotels, Depends on the time of year, "High Season" is between November and March during that time prices are a bit higher and harder to get without a reservation.

You should have a hotel for you first night in Bangkok, who wants to look around after getting off a long flight

If you want to do more than just shag LB, then you might want to look into wandering around Thailand (buy a tourist guide, see whats what). A great way to do it is to take a girl with you as you wander around. It usually easy to get a flight a day or two before, and the Bus/Train system is good.

Singapore is not in Thailand, as you know & the LB scene is limited. See the reports that cover it extensively.

Why you would interrupt a Thai holiday to go to another big city is beyond me.

For some 2 days in Pattaya is too much, for others a lifetime will just about cover it.

I think 2 weeks is a good amount of time to really find your way around & secure the number of experiences to ensure a memorable holiday.

Unless you have a place you want to go to or someone to meet, I believe you will be sorry you left Pattaya within a day.

If it is party time you want, you won't find anything like the nightlife or the infrastructure available in Pattaya.

Definitely book a room in Pattaya before you leave home. Spend an hour reading the threads that cover Pattaya accommodation & book it online via agoda.com or one of the other booking sites.

There are some great deals available, agoda will want payment in full so perhaps don't commit for the full 2 weeks, the hotels are keen for business & many will negotiate a similar deal to what is being offered online.

The only advice I can give is that when a girl says she wants to go into a jewelry store say "ok". then at the last minute say you need something at 7-11 and then hide out there until she is done.

I couldn't take 2 weeks in Pattaya - my liver screams after 5 days! If you have 2 weeks and this is your first trip it would be a shame not to see/experience a few things - definitely I'd hit Bangkok for a couple of days of it.

And I completely agree with Snick - visiting Cambodia and Angkor Wat was the best trip I ever made, and its not a long journey. Three days hiking round amazing sites there made me feel I got a bit of balance to the whole trip (and gave me something to talk about beyond "I drank a lot")

That sounds really amazing. I'd love to take some beautiful, scenic walks around that area. I'm sure my body  may need some recovering after my first initial week.

Is it better to go to Cambodia and Angkor Wat by plane, train, or bus? I don't mind spending a little extra for a nicer experience.

Another thing...when you tell your friends and family that you are traveling to Thailand, do they suspect a large reason your going is because of the whole sexual experience? Not that it really matters I suppose, just wanting to know peoples thoughts on it.

Take the Plane, bus is a nightmare
If you go Angkor (and you should), make reservations for plane and hotel. Also hire a private guide with a car, don't be part of some group.
