As my 1st trip draws near......

I've visited in May several times and had a great time. It is slow season so things are not quite as busy. It is the rainly season but it did not rain all the time. It is quite muggy though. I usually visit in May, September and January. I'm leaving in 3 days for my January visit.

You're right the weather is somewhat nicer from Nov-Jan.

But I would go whenever you can get away from work; if it's a little hotter, or there's a warm rain it's no big deal.

It's busiest right now, but I wouldn't worry about if May is busier than June etc., it won't affect your vacation.

If for some reason you're not working and I'd make the trip longer.

Any time is good really. If it is raining so what, it is not the same as the west. One down pour and it's over!

I have been during april, may june ,july,august,september,october- no problem!
I actually prefer the out of season months!
