Our entire first innings has been eclipsed without loss. It's now 2 innings against 1. My guess, England won't be batting again and the Aussie's tales are gonna be so far between their legs, they'll look like Mint doing herself up the ass!

Very like English conditions this morning in Melbourne, but definitely a few notches up from Chester-le-street. 'Only' 84,000 there, and the Brits outnumbered the locals by late afternoon. As soon as England batted, the sun came out.

What a cracking series this is proving to be, and who's to say that Australia may not provide another twist following their Boxing Day Day Mauling in Melbourne  
Well the bookies don't subscribe to that theory because it is now:-

Australia to Regain the Ashes 16/1

England to Retain the Ashes 1/33

And so far as this 4th Test Match is concerned:-

 20/1    1/5  Draw 7/1

Clearly it was very important to win the toss and how well England's pace attack adapted to bowling the line and full length required on a slow pitch which is in complete contrast to the bouncier one encountered in Perth.

Anything more than a first innings score of 350 by England and (you would think) they are sailing into clear waters and certain victory.


Just for insurance, I'm going to have a £100.00 on Aussie to regain the ashes @16/1 on the basis that they salvage an unlikely draw in Melbourne and then go on to win in Sydney.
It's a bet that I hope to lose
