(whore @ Dec. 07 2009,20:54) North Korea for me. Simply because the whole team are genetically modified test tube babies made from DNA samples from Pele...
Brazil are the only team who have won a world cup staged outside South America or Europe, so stastically they should be favourites.
However my betting slip says;
World Cup -Spain
Premiership- Man Utd
FA Cup - West Ham
Champions League - Real Madrid
SPL-Celtic
Group A Â - France? Haha..With Domenech, they will not reach the next round. 1 Mexico / 2 South Africa / 3 Uruguay / 4 France
Group B - Hmm..well balanced group in my opinion. 1 Nigeria / 2 Argentina / 3 Greece / 4 South Korea
Group C - If England is safe from injury, they can do it. 1 England / 2 USA / 3 Slovenia / 4 Algeria
Group D - There is nothing to say about this group. 1 Germany / 2 Serbia / 3 Ghana / Australia
Group E - Only very strong teams. 1 Netherlands / 2 Denmark / 3 Cameroon / 4 Japan
Group F - Italy is always good for a surprise. 1 Paraguay / 2 Italy / 3 Slowakia / 4 New Zealand
Group G - Group of death!! 1 Brazil / 2 Cote d'Ivoire / 3 Portugal / 4 North Korea
Group H - Spain wins the group, no doubt. But it doesn't matter...Brazil or Cote d'Ivoire after such a boring group is too hard. 1 Spain / 2 Chile / 3 Swiss / 4 Honduras

Quarter finals

It is certain that Germany will reach the final (and will win the cup) Â
As an expat (whatever that means) Yank, and having only seriously followed the sport for five or six years I don't presume to have a qualified opinion. But I'm also free of any tethers to history.
When it comes time to don the colors, I will be drinking for England.
