They buy all in inclusive trips in China using Chinese airlines. When they arrive they use Chinese bus companies.
The buses take them to stay and eat in Chinese owned hotels and restaurants. They take them to Chinese approved tourist attractions and sell them Chinese trinkets.

The tour companies in China buy mass tickets and they funnel them through the Big Eye Show.
It does employ some Thais but it probably wouldn't exist without the Chinese, I bet you may find Chinese money behind it.
It also seemed to have some Koreans and Japanese at the shows, but Japanese also come to Thailand independently, especially to golf.
Tourists from mainland China almost always come in groups and they never seem to go to ladyboy bars.
The Big Eye Show probably tries to keep tourists from seeking out the real sex in Pattaya.
The doctor that came to my room in Phuket was very upset it was a Chinese owned hotel. He felt all of Thailand was slowly being taken over by the Chinese.
Tourist that are directly from mainland China probably spend less money per capita than tourists from many other countries.
I suppose the total from Chinese tourism is high but the margins are slim. Tourist companies in China suck up most of the profits.
The best ones are those who visit independently but still live abroad. They own condos and send money when not there.
When they do visit Thailand they spend money at many businesses and are often generous to companions.
Also those taking retirement in Thailand are usually transferring large amounts of wealth into Thailand.
Still in the current situation flights from China should be the last ones resumed.

This sounds real sucky...especially the part about service staff cannot sit with customers and also all chairs must be 1 meter apart ....and face sheilds.... no pool playing.... but the bathrooms will get the most attention...certainly more than the have ever seen ... supposed to clean now every 30 to 60 minutes... I've seen some bathrooms in bars that look like they cleansed 30 to 60 days apart...

As far as beaches go, there is plenty of closer ones.
Just like everyone else they are reacting with nothing but panic, logic never comes into play.
It probably doesn't matter because our Communist Prime Minister will probably keep us locked in Canada forever.
Just because they can.....

More of what's to come ? Friday is scrubbed for the official rules ...official rules released Monday now. See link for details.
I heard from Bella that Why Not is open and I've heard yell of other non sanctioned bars being in operation so it seems there's a gap in enforcement...so, as it states in the article, there is discussion of the Thai authorities to have CCTV access to the goings on of the various establishment's including "sex massage" .. I suspect to make monitoring easier (easy to catch and fine non compliant bars et al.

Yep, "tea money to grease the rails". Over the years living and traveling in the entire Asian continent, Europe, the USA, Hawaiian islands (8) and reading the newspapers, magazines, and watching all the news channels, I had finally had a Eureka moment. I have finally seen the light. Corruption fuels the movement of MONEY. Sometimes it's good and sometimes, bad.

Without corruption and tea money none of these bars for boys and girls filled with GOOD, BAD, AND UGLY boys and girls would open up. So that's why ladyboy bars like Bangkok's and Pattaya's Obsessions, Bhukao Street, plus Sois 6,7,8 bars are able to open and stay open. Until the world recession came crashing down when I first arrived in 2012. Sad to say I came TOO LATE. Really hated myself for being scared out of my wits when I first walked into Stringfellows. Lucky are the guys like StickmanBangkok.com who arrived around the year 2000. Do read all of his archives of weekly reports complete with EXCELLENT photos shot with a $5000 Canon DSLR with very expensive top-of-line Canon lense. Amazing how he could shoot stripper shots in the ordinary bar spot lights WITHOUT A FLASH!
The Stickman weekly column was first published in April of 2001. Without anywhere on the site to publish news from expat society and the expat bar areas which may be time-sensitive, the Stickman weekly column was born. I never thought it would last but now more than 10 years later what started as a brief weekly update has developed into the most popular section of this website. The Stickman weekly column is published every Sunday before 6 PM Bangkok time, which corresponds to the following times around the world: Each week there I feature the sort of news, views and gossip from Bangkok expat society that isn’t typically covered in the mainstream press. I include the latest news, views and gossip from the expat bar areas along with bits and pieces from restaurants and eateries popular with Westerners, as well as general news and issues of interest to expats, gossip from the expat files, stuff like Bangkok escorts and even the odd bit from neighbouring countries. Each week the column features a opening piece which can be anything from an op-ed piece to a photo essay to an interview. This is followed by a photo competition and then the emails to Stick section featuring the most interesting emails received that week. Next is the news and my views of the week’s happenings in Bangkok. There is a question and answer section where you can ask questions of a legal nature which are answered by a Bangkok law firm. Some weeks there is also a girl of the week section featuring an attractive lady working in an expat bar. To all bar, pub and restaurant owners, I am happy to help promote your establishment, especially if you are holding any special events, parties or promotions. Please get info to me before the Sunday before the event so that it makes the column in time! Disclaimer While this column features news, views, gossip and photos from expat bar areas, it should be noted that this is a very small part of Thailand, and insignificant to most Thais. Don’t take the preponderance of coverage of Bangkok’s expat bar areas to mean that that is all that this fantastic city has to offer; it is in fact just a very small part of the city. The round-up of expat bar news and gossip is a popular part of the column and I strive to cover this major part of expat society in a responsible way. As the Lonely Planet Guide to Thailand has said in a number of editions, Stickman provides a palatable look at nightlife in Thailand. Feedback & Tips Feedback is welcome and the most interesting emails received appear in the emails to Stick section of the column. This website does NOT contain photos of naked women or any nudity whatsoever. If that is what you’re looking for, there are plenty of Thailand-centric websites to find that. This is not one of them. Hint: try the Pattaya forums. I appreciate tip-offs from readers about anything of interest to Westerners in Bangkok so if you are aware of anything that may be newsworthy or of interest, do drop me an email and let me know!
Anyway, MONEY makes all thing so smoothly and not so smoothly (Trump). I think now I understand why barfines have been going up to the stratosphere causing bars to close permanently all over Thailand. Add the ongoing recession to the evolving DEPRESSION and to the mind-blowing C pandemic reaping lives of all ages all over the world. The Thailand police need to be smart and lower or stop tea money fines under the table otherwise their cash cow will permanently die. Then the police who get absolutely NO MONEY from the federal government with retrogress and expand the criminal elements of their secret enterprise like loan sharking, kidnapping and ransom money, slave prostitution, HEROIN and cocaine growth, processing, and distribution to the entire world and the USA, gambling and Bone-breaking style of collections, and their MURDER-FOR-HIRE sinister operations. Sounds exactly like how the Jewish/Italian Mafia does business. This are the list of things I think I know. I don't know if their operations encompasses the lucrative tourism trade. I think they surely do. Evildoers just can't miss an opportunity to score some fast profits without any lay money. They feed on OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY.

So now I reverse my opinion that all bars do need to raise their rates when they return to business. Or the Keystone Cops should hold off and allow a vacation on tea money collections (lest they, too, will go bankrupt). Think they will? Fuck them. In the meantime I will walk Beachwalk looking for my lovely little teen femboy Baitong who I think will gladly let me date her again because she has run out of money and needs to replenish her bank account. I will forgive her for hiding from me and she will say, "Mai pen rai". Then it's AWAY WE GO. Three times a week.
Pray for a speedy success for the human vaccination trials in Brazil. Thailand should forget about the monkey trials. It's already tooooooo late to start this monkey business.
