  • Famous movies you have NEVER seen!

Here are some movies that are well known that I have never seen...

1 - ET! - Don't know why I missed it but I just downloaded it and I'm gonna do something about that soon.

2 - Forrest Gump - Laaaaaf is laaaak a bax o chacalats... Fuck off you spastic CUNT!

3 - Saving Private Ryan - Too long and takes itself way too seriously.

    4 - Schindler's List - Boooooooring! What the fuck do I care.

    5 - Godfather 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9... Yawn. Men with guns or baseball bats speaking in wildly stupid American Italian accents.

Have you missed some big time movies because you thought they'd be shit or just never got around to it?

Titanic. Be it at the theater or on tv. I did try to watch it on tv but I either changed channel or fell asleep.

(Bumpa STIKKA @ Jun. 05 2010,09:58) Have you missed some big time movies because you thought they'd be shit or just never got around to it? ?
yes, surely......just can't think of any right now {but I will)

RE; the above selections;  Godfather 1 was good, but I didn't see that it was so GREAT as everyone said; James Caan did the best job in that movie IMO.  Part 2- decent, but again nothing to write home about.  Part 3- very average, Andy Garcia's best role ever though.

Forrest Gump....watch it man, if you don't like that one I'll eat my socks.

Funny, and the way they tie everything together and show him mixed in with real footage was superbly-done.

ET-also never saw it, never will ......I liked Private Ryan but on a scale of 1-10 I'd only give it a 6 or so....Schindlers maybe a 7.

In other words, you ain't missing much!  Except Gump, that was a really cool movie

Titanic... It's truly a horrible film. I regret the day I watched this overly melodramatic and unrealistic soap opera.

Don't watch it, worst movie of all time. I wish I could get the time back when I watched it. Its a chick flick that even chicks hate.

And bumpa.. on the last 3... get to it.. you're missing masterpieces of the cinema. Really have to watch to be able to judge how good it really is.

Maybe I sound insensitive but its not the case at all. I do care!  But if I had to live my whole life based on how everyone might be sensitive to me.. I would not be living my life as I want it. So you can accept me and my flaws as I am or you can't.

              I haven't seen 2 famous movies offhand:

Slumdog Millionaire (I don't really care for bollywood movies)

              Barbarella.

Many many I suppose...But only Titanic pops to mind right now...

Funny though, sometimes I block a movie out as being trash or not my type of movie or just something that doesn't interest me and later discover that I was way wrong...

For example...I could never imagine Bill Murray nominated for an Oscar for best actor...But once I finally saw Lost in Translation it became one of my all time favorites...And certainly not for Bill's great acting...But for the strange simplicity of the film and the creativity of it's author and director Sofia Coppola...

Give numbers 1, 2, 3 and 5/1 a try Bumpa...You might just be surprised...But I've never seen Schindler's List or Godfather Forever either and don't want to...

EDIT: Jesus..It took all of 5 mins for me to post and Titanic and has already been mentioned by nearly everyone...But wait, someone will tell us why we are wrong...

worth 2 hours of your time, but I wouldn't watch it again.

                  * I usually judge movies as GREAT if I am willing to throw 'em in the DVD player anytime and watch them for a 2nd or a 3rd time.'

                    Some blockbusters I've never seen and never will;

Avatar, Dark Knight, ANY Star Wars or Star Trek Movie, ANY Lord of some fucking stupid ring bullshit, ANY Harry Potter nonsense, ANY Matrix Movie, Men in Black 1 or 2, Da Vinci Code, ANY Mission Impossible movie, Oceans 13.

If they make a movie and the first one sucks ass, why do they make sequels??

dark knight is worth watching jaidee.. infact you'd watch it again and again. Did you watch batman begins? That's the 1st movie, the earlier ones are a different generation and sucky.

All the Star Wars movies. Star Trek is better (the original).

                        All the Indiana Jones movies.

Since 1996 I haven't been inside a cinema (I don't count BKK as that's just an outing) so it would be easier to list the great movies I have seen. I figure if they're any good I'll catch up with them some rainy day on DVD or bittorent or cable or..

                        yes, surely

Actually, no.......not a big Sci-fi guy and haven't seen a lot of Batman stuff.

I saw the one with Nicholson, that wasn't half-bad......also one  with George Clooney {same movie??}.

Believe it or not, in that genre I liked 'Dick Tracy'!!

I've seen parts of Titanic, after the ship started sinking. I knew I didn't want to see anymore of it. It's not like we don't know what's going to happen anyway. Reputedly indestructible ship sailing across the Atlantic, hits an iceberg and sinks. Some people die and some don't.

Never saw ET. Don't like Sci Fi, so probably never will unless someone ties to me to a chair in front of a TV, and props my eyelids open with toothpicks.

I started to watch The Godfather, was bored after 30 mins, so turned it off. No plans to see any of the series at this point.

Private Ryan and Gump were both excellent movies IMO. The Thin Red Line was a better WWII flick than Private Ryan though, but since it came out in the same year never got the pub that SPR got.

I've never seen Schindler's List and only seen part of Shawshank Redemption.

I'm not going to argue with any of these movies but you have to see these 2 in this order:

                              Batman Begins
                              The Dark Knight.

Trust me.. best 5 hours you'll spend in a long time! Seriously!

You said it yourself, nicholson's joker was ok at best.. the rest of the movies sucked. So they rebooted the franchise and Christian Bale and Christopher Nolan nailed it.
