(Bumpa STIKKA @ May 30 2010,19:20) Frasier was much MUCH better.
They may not have been Jewish, but those guys were the definition of neurotic

(f0xxee @ May 30 2010,17:18) A Continuation the "jewish - neurotic" sitcom that has been a staple of US TV since whenever...
       I agree.

Purile rubbish for a purile audience.
Kramer would explain to you it's spelled "puerile".

(guydesavoy @ May 30 2010,04:14) I wouldn't be surprised if he was into Ladyboys
George might be turned on by ladyboys and be ashamed but Kramer would be proud of it.

(pentire @ May 30 2010,16:46) Never seen an episode.....in view of these comments perhaps I should make an effort however, American sitcoms have never done it for me
It's hard for you Brits to understand just how funny this show is, I think, because you aren't American and can't even imagine a little bit what it did for American popular culture. More than a decade after it ended people still talk and act like the characters, use words which they created, reference the show constantly and of course watch it whenever we can.

Not surprised at Bumpa's comments below either, he burned a few seasons for me off the internet and watched a few [at least he tried] and told me it was shite;  understood, but again we are talking about a country which created Brideshead Revisited and has always had a reputation for making the  2 words 'british'' and '' humor" an oxymoron when combined;  and also  found a way to laugh at Absolutely Fabulous for a decade or so.  Anyone who thinks those 2 old skanky brits smoking, getting drunk and throwing around curse words was funny just wouldn't get Seinfeld.

Cannot agree at all JaiDee...You don't have to be AMERican to get Seinfeld.

                Are you forgetting Python ?

I enjoyed AbFab in its day...I wouldn't call it brilliant. But if you want to start a UK vs US comedy thread let's rumble

Let's start with The Young Ones...certainly puerile...or Blackadder..wonder how that one went down in bumfuck Idaho

Being a stoopid Amerikan and all that, I had to look this one up; as Farangbah says it's actually spelled Puerile.....and as Elaine once said to the guy who called her 'big head'';  that's the best you can do??  Hell .... childish, immature behaviour and tastes in our mid-40's is a COMPLIMENT!

Sorry Guy, never was a big Python fan either.... ....nor The Young Ones, that was the one with the kid with the spikes in his forehead, right?? Didn't even like Benny Hill, really......except of course for the one where the old guy gets plunged through the chest with a javeline and benny is walking around still trying to measure the landing spot

                    I think it's a British/Yank thing, really......which is why I offered up a 3rd catagory.

Randomly chose something in the middle, and just watched "The Bubble Boy". The bubble boy himself was the highlight for me.

PS -- 5 minutes later I'm still guffawing at the Benny Hill image -- I can't remember when I laughed so hard at something I hadn't even witnessed . . .
