its ok to be idealistic but this is the real world,ideals have to come 2nd to what is real fact and is workable.
the fact is that most people in the world have their own religions or beliefs customs cultures etc etc,and that inludes the british americans the swiss and many others as well as muslims,ive said it before and again people should stay in their own country and culture if they cannot adopt wholeheartedly a new one.
when i go to LOS i respect their beliefs,monarchy,way of life and people,i do not wish to overstate my prescence or live as i do in the uk.isnt that just the whole point of being in another country?......something many muslims and others just cannot understand.

say on what they do and do not want so it's a presumption to

I don't think the argument here is against any race of people. If you are white and you are attracted to Asians (LB or GG) then that certainly indicates a tolerance of different races (=99% of the BM's here).

Yes there has been some generalisations made here about Muslims but I think that the points raised are reflective of observations made about the impact of immigration on European/western societies.

Many fine points have been made and to turn around and call everyone a racist because they don't agree with you is equally close minded and shows a reluctance to investigate the reasons behind these concerns. Most Muslims aren't extremists, however you couldn't say that they allow for a liberal, free-thinking society. Not with the way they treat women and their reluctance to assimilate. Being into Ladyboys would be a big no-no. The average Muslim person would judge you as being mentally diminished if you told them you are into LB's. You might not have a problem with them but they'll certainly have a problem with you.
Can anyone name a Islamic country that they could call liberal? Can anyone name a Western country where immigration from the Middle East hasn't caused problems? These are genuine concerns. Recognise these and look for a solution rather than dismissing anyone who raises it as an issue.

I didnt label them as racists, he was on about Religion as well if you care to read it properly . I don t think we need a Scientific Survey to work out what they think about other Religions over there.

Tomcat never said the Saudi's were racist. He just made the point that you wouldn't be allowed to build a Christian Church there. This was a fair point, I thought.

The point of conjecture was that Westerner's don't have the same rights of expression and freedom in Islamic countries as Muslims do in Western countries.

The citizens in most western countries have done away with Monarchies and have adopted democratic systems. They have fought for their rights (via elected government, protests, unions, the media) and live a relatively free existence. The people of the Middle east have never done this. They have been under the control of someone for their entire existence (sultans, foreign armies) and don't know the first thing about freedom of expression. Hence they come to Western societies and think that everyone should adapt to their way of life and that most Westerners are immoral. I'm 29, university educated, and into LB's. I have no time for their close minded crap. Once someone infringes on my way of life I kick back.

Even the Economist Magazine states " This is an important book".

I have been to China, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, etc etc and yes racisim/bigotry does exsist in all the aforementioned countries........astonishing isn't it!!!!! So yes I am at odds with alot of people............does that make racisim/bigotry any more right? There are so many fallacies in your argument it is comical.
