    But largely because Whitman has 150 million to spend on her gubernatorial bid...And "poor" Brown only has 20 million in the bank so far...

    The real humor in my statement comes with the words "only has 20 million."

          I sometimes think about politics and generally avoid discussing out loud since I don't want arguments on the internet. There is 1 thing here that's been irking me for a long time in my personal life. Its when the opinion of the person doesn't make any sense with the life they're living or want to live. This is very common in America as most will testify to but when I see it on the forum, it caught me a bit off guard because I thought only we Americans can be so naive.

          Case in point, Bumpa said, he's just right of hitler.

          Well Right of Hitler means: Severe Nationalism.

          Well if LOS has nationalism, then no farangs welcome.
          If UK has nationalism, then no thai welcome.
          So how does anyone of us including him, enjoy any time with thai lb's then?

          I mean it sounds almost like a parallel of the gop scare tactics here in the USA, they brainwash people into thinking they're millionaires so they vote like a millionaire and make believe that they're better off. The ones who need help the most scream and yell the loudest against it.

          I know this is pointless (probably should belong in pointless thread) but I really can't understand how this makes sense to form an opinion like that granted his love of lb's and his running of this great site.

          An opinion should be the result of thought, not a substitute for it.


          Ok I'm done.  


          Maybe I sound insensitive but its not the case at all. I do care!  But if I had to live my whole life based on how everyone might be sensitive to me.. I would not be living my life as I want it. So you can accept me and my flaws as I am or you can't.

              Maybe I sound insensitive but its not the case at all. I do care!  But if I had to live my whole life based on how everyone might be sensitive to me.. I would not be living my life as I want it. So you can accept me and my flaws as I am or you can't.

                I didn't do that. I'm not sure exactly how though. I just answered how I felt without trying to recall too strongly how I answered the first time.

                  it's much more complicated than that.

                  simplicity is for the stupid masses.
                  racism and xenophobia are stupid, so they are good topics for gaining militants and votes.

                  the people leading these nationalist and rightist movements are much more nuanced in their opinions.
                  even nationalists have colored friends.
